When did Buddleja davidii become invasive in Slovenia?
Published 2018-06-01“…In Slovenia, a switch from benign naturalized plant to invasiveness occurred just recently, so in the last decade it has been spreading rapidly in the sense of geography and also forming viable competitively strong populations in (semi-)natural habitat types such as abandoned quarries, rocky slopes and river banks. In the article its spreading is presented with some older overlooked records and several new records that more than double our knowledge of the species’ distribution in Slovenia. …”

Study on Water Erosion Intensity of Soil Slop in Reservoirs under Protection of Tela Anchor Pad
Published 2020-01-01“…The water and soil loss in the hydro-fluctuation belt of the Three Gorges Reservoir has serious adverse effects on the navigation of channel, the stability of reservoir bank and the ecological environment. In view of the problems arisen, this paper proposes a new ecological restoration technology, the Tela anchor pad ecological restoration technology. As an emerging method of slope protection, the Tela anchor pad technology lacks experimental data support in terms of resistance to water erosion before vegetation growth. Therefore, the scouring model test for the slope protection of Tela anchor pad was carried out indoors. The test results show that when the water flow velocity is less than 1.7 m/s,the erosion intensity of the Tela anchor pad is reduced by 91.5% on average compared with the bare slope.…”

Histoire et épistémologie des savoirs locaux et autochtones
Published 2012-12-01“…In this paper, we will attempt an anthropological history of the concept of “local knowledge”, from the first research dedicated to the botanical or zoological knowledge of “traditional” peoples carried out in the 50’s, to the outburst of interest on behalf of actors as disparate as the World Bank, conservation and development NGOs, governments, biodiversity managers, not to mention the main stakeholders, i.e. indigenous peoples and local specialised groups.Through the history of different networks that contributed to developing the concept of local knowledge, traditional or indigenous ecological knowledge, we will highlight precursors and replace them in their heuristic context. …”

Foundations of radar synthesis theory of phantom objects formation in SAR images
Published 2024-11-01“…The following results were obtained: 1) the structure of the PhR is defined, which includes a receiver, a bank of SAR signal models, a bank of object models to be injected into the PhR signal, and a transmitter; 2) the parameters of the received SAR sensing signal that need to be estimated in the PhR receiver are determined; 3) the geometry of interaction in the “SAR-PhR” system is described, which allowed us to determine an expression for estimating the distance between SAR and PhR, as well as to estimate the distance-related parameters, such as signal delay time and characteristics of sensing signals. …”
