    Published 2011-01-01
“…A QoS preference-aware replica selection strategy for a kind of users with individual QoS sensitivity(IQS) constraints in cloud computing datacenters was put forward in advance.According to the QoS requirements of data ser-vices from IQS users,a novel three-dimensional QoS model of replica selection was introduced, and a QoS prefer-ence-aware algorithm based on analytic hierarchy process(AHP) named QoPA was proposed to deal with the IQS con-straints.In order to evaluate the replica sites in datacenters and provide the best of them to the IQS users,an algorithm for replica selection based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation termed FCERS was designed and implemented. Results of experiments show that the FCERS can serve the various IQS users in cloud computing very well by providing reason-able replica strategies effectively.…”

CT-TDMA:efficient TDMA protocol for underwater sensor networks by Lu HONG, Feng HONG, Zheng-bao LI, Zhong-wen GUO

    Published 2012-02-01
“…Aimed at underwater acoustic sensor networks(UWSN),a novel sender based conflict model with the schemes of allocating continuous time was presented, including local conflict graph(LCG)and a distribute algorithm to generate LCG.Moreover,CT-TDMA,an efficient TDMA protocol based on the conflict model was also proposed, which used heuristic priority rules to allocate transmitting moments for all nodes.CT-TDMA exploits the diversity of propagation delay of different links in UWSN to decrease the idle time between packets at the same receiving node, which helps in improving the throughput. And a heuristic schedule algorithm is applied to shorten the process of allocating continuous time for each node.Simulation results show that, compared with traditional TDMA protocols such as ST-MAC,network throughput of CT-TDMA has increased 20% and end to end delay has decreased 18%;compared to the theoretically optimal scheme with global knowledge,CT-TDMA has achieved 80% network throughput and the end to end delay is only 12% longer.…”

    Published 2022-07-01
“…In public emergencies such as accident relief, rescue workers are faced with challenges, such as poor communication, unstable navigating, and inaccurate disaster sensing. It is necessary to deploy an emergency unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) network to guarantee the services of communication-navigating-sensing.Aiming at alleviating the problem of limited energy of UAV, a low-energy-consumption deployment of an emergency UAV network was first proposed for integrated communication-navigating-sensing (ICNS).The proposed scheme was able to realize network topology reconstruction and role cognition on demand. Then, a particle swarm algorithm based hierarchical matching decision-making algorithm was presented to jointly optimize three sub-problems, including the associations between UAVs and users, the resource allocation for multi-role UAV communications, and the UAV position.Simulation results show that the proposed ICNS scheme can achieve flexible adaptation of the multi-objective requirements and limited network resources, and dramatically reduce the demand for the number of UAVs and the deployment energy consumption.…”

    Published 2022-03-01
“…The unprecedented prosperity of the industrial internet of things (IIoT) has opened up a new path for the traditional industrial manufacturing model.Intelligent shop scheduling is one of the key technologies to achieve the overall control and flexible production of the whole production process. It requires an effective plan with a minimum makespan to allocate multiple processes and multiple machines for production scheduling.Firstly, the shop scheduling problem was defined as a Markov decision process (MDP), and a shop scheduling model based on the pointer network was established.Secondly, the job scheduling process was regarded as a mapping from one sequence to another, and a new shop scheduling algorithm based on deep reinforcement learning (DRL) was proposed.By analyzing the convergence of the model under different parameter settings, the optimal parameters were determined.Experimental results on different scales of public data sets and actual production data sets show that the proposed DRL algorithm can obtain better performances.…”

Smartphone-based indoor localization by fusion of acoustic ranging and PDR by Mao PANG, Mei WANG, Xiyu SONG, Liyan LUO, Kun RUAN

    Published 2018-06-01
“…A novel indoor localization algorithm that integrates acoustic ranging and pedestrian dead reckoning (PDR) algorithm was presented,to reduce the accumulated error of the inertial sensors in the process of indoor positioning using PDR.Firstly, the PDR was used for position estimation. Then, the distance between the mobile phone and the wall was measured by using sound waves, and the cumulative error in the PDR was corrected by combining the above position and the distance with the known indoor map information.Hence,long-term stable indoor positioning can be achieved without laying out any nodes. In order to solve the problem that the echo signals reflected by the wall under long-distance conditions were difficult to detect, signal enhancement on the echoes reflected from the target wall was performed by using beamforming, taking advantage of the characteristics of the built-in dual microphones in the smartphone, then the effective measurement distance was increased and the application range of the proposed method was expanded.Experimental results show that the average positioning error of the proposed fusion localization method is 0.427 m.Compared with the results of using PDR alone, the average positioning error is reduced by 2.748 m.…”

Estimation and compensation for transmitter and receiver I/Q imbalance of full-duplex terminals by Hao-wei WU, Jun-bo ZHAO, Hao-ran XU, Jing-lan OU

    Published 2017-01-01
“…In order to reduce I/Q imbalance of the full-duplex terminal with direct-conversion transceiver,an algorithm based on self-interference signal was proposed for the estimation and compensation of I/Q imbalance in both transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx).Without the perfect transmitter or receiver for I/Q imbalance estimation, the self-interference signal from Tx chain to Rx chain was used for parameter estimation and separation, and the Tx and Rx I/Q imbalance parameters were obtained, respectively. Then the pre-compensation before transmission and the correction after receiving was processed,so that there was nearly no I/Q imbalance in this full-duplex terminal from the view of the other terminals, and the complexity of the signal processing will be reduced as a result of the absent of the I/Q imbalance estimation. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively estimate and compensate the I/Q imbalance of the full-duplex Tx & Rx terminal, and improve the overall signal quality and the system performance.…”
