Dynamic traffic balancing scheme for LB-BvN to guarantee in-order packet delivering by HU Hong-chao, GUO Yun-fei, PANG lin, BU You-jun

    Published 2011-01-01
“…Due to its outstanding extensibility performance, the LB-BvN switch had attracted much attention recently in the switching technology academia. However, the problem that it might disturb the sequences of packets made it not so applicable in practice. To overcome this, the principles for guaranteeing packets in order switching were first discussed. Then, based on these principles,it focused on research on the transmission characteristics in network traffic and came up with DFA and DFS algorithms.DFA assigned the switching paths to each flow based on their transport layer parameters to make sure that each packet in the flow were in order.DFS was more sophisticated than DFA in that it first divided flows into flowlets. In this way,the flowlets in the flows were in order. Both DFA and DFS could achieve in order packets switching with limited flow states maintained in the line-cards.Simulation results show that both DFA and DFS can achieve good performance.…”

Mendiante et orgueilleuse ?  L’université d’al-Azhar et l’enseignement supérieur égyptien (1860-1930) by Thomas Raineau

    Published 2012-06-01
“…With the creation of the Superior Schools inspired by European models, and with their gradual expansion, al-Azhar started to be threatened as a major actor in the embryonic Egyptian Academia around 1900. Since al-Azhar was unable to fulfil the aspiration of an increasing part of the society for “modern” disciplines and methods, its graduates were confronted to a rising competition with those of institutions such as Dâr al-‘Ulûm or the School of the Cadis, for obtaining jobs of teachers or magistrates. …”

Edge computing and network slicing technology in 5G by Hongyu XIANG, Yangwen XIAO, Xian ZHANG, Zhuying PIAO, Mugen PENG

    Published 2017-06-01
“…As a cost-efficient way to meet the wide range of use cases that the fifth generation wireless network will provide, network slicing and edge computing have been advocated by both academia and industry. In the concept of network slicing, the network entities are sliced into several logical networks to provide the requested services for different use cases. The edge computing pushes the frontier of computing applications, data, and services away from centralized nodes to the logical extremes of a network and even the user equipments, which can improve the traditional mobile broadband service capability, and handle with the emerging machine type service. The edge computing based radio access network slicing was proposed as a combination of edge computing and network slicing. The radio access network slicing can meet the diverse use cases and business models in 5G,and enable operators to flexibly provide personalized network services based on third-party need and network situation in a cost-efficient way.…”
