A Dynamical Z-R Relationship for Precipitation Estimation Based on Radar Echo-Top Height Classification
Published 2018-01-01“…The new Z-R relationship is then applied to derive the RQPE over the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River for two short-time intense rainfall cases in summer (2200 UTC 1 June 2016 and 2200 UTC 18 June 2016) and one stratiform rainfall case in winter (0000 UTC 15 December 2017), and then the comparative analyses between the RQPE and the RQPEs derived by the other two methods (the fixed Z-R relationship and the dynamical Z-R relationship based on radar reflectivity classification) are accomplished. …”

Analysis of Ecological Water Replenishment Cycle and Flow Field Distribution Characteristics of Datong Lake
Published 2022-01-01“…In the post-Three Gorges period, the deep evolution of the relationship between the Yangtze River and Dongting Lake breaks the hydraulic pattern that the water flows into Datong Lake from the northwestern corner and discharges from the southeastern corner of Datong Lake.To study the ecological water replenishment cycle and the characteristics of flow field distribution of Datong Lake under variant environment,we build a two-dimensional hydrodynamic model of water systems based on MIKE 21FM and simulate the hydrodynamic conditions for the project of river-lake connection and ecological water replenishment of Datong Lake. Then, the water replenishment cycle and flow field morphological characteristics of Datong Lake are studied under six scenarios, such as different ecological water replenishment flow and different gate control, and the critical point of ecological water replenishment efficiency is presented. The results reveal that the flow rate distribution of the control scheme of “single in-double out” is more uniform than that of the control scheme of “single in-single out.” …”

Recent Decreasing Trends in Surface PM2.5 over East Asia in the Winter-Spring Season: Different Responses to Emissions and Meteorology between Upwind and Downwind Regions
Published 2021-02-01“…This system accurately reproduced the monthly means, daily variations, and vertical profiles of PM2.5 during winter and spring over the Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA) in South Korea and the North China Plain (NCP) and Yangtze River Delta (YRD) in China. Furthermore, it demonstrated that the decline in PM2.5 over the latter nation is attributable to control measures in China that have been in effect since 2013. …”
