RETRACTED ARTICLE: Emodin enhances osteogenesis and inhibits adipogenesis
Published 2014-02-01“…In vitro, we analyze the effect of emodin—at concentrations between 0.1 μM and 10 μM-on the processes of inducing osteogenesis and inhibiting adipogenesis in BMSCs by ALP, Oil red O staining, real time RT-PCR and western blot. Results As our experiment shows that emodin could increase the number of osteoblast, BMD (bone mineral density), BV/TV (trabecular bone volume fraction), Tb.N (trabecular number) and Conn.D (connectivity density) of OVX (ovariectomized) mice and decrease the bone marrow fat tissue and adipocytes. …”

miR-197 Participates in Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Cardiomyocyte Injury by Modulating SIRT1
Published 2022-01-01“…Then, we investigated the role of miR-197 in LPS-induced H9c2 cells by CCK-8 assay, flow cytometry, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) measurement, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), qRT-PCR, and western blot. Subsequently, silent information regulator 1 (SIRT1) was downregulated in H9c2 cells to explore its interaction with miR-197 under LPS induction. …”

Cebpb Regulates Skeletal Stem Cell Osteogenic Differentiation and Fracture Healing via the WNT/β-Catenin Pathway
Published 2022-01-01“…The expression of Cebpb, osteogenesis-related genes (Runx2, Sp7, and Bglap2), and markers for Notch, Hedgehog, MAPK, BMP2/SMAD, and WNT/β-catenin signaling pathways (Hes1, Gli1, p-Erk1/2, p-Smad1/5/9, and β-catenin) were detected in SSCs with qPCR or western blot, respectively. Alkaline phosphatase assay and alizarin red S staining were used to illustrate the osteogenic differentiation ability of SSCs in vitro. …”

Sorghum yield prediction based on remote sensing and machine learning in conflict affected South Sudan
Published 2025-02-01“…We use five Machine Learning (ML) techniques, including Random Forest (RF), Decision Tree (DT), Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGboost), Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to predict 2021 end-of-season sorghum yield in conflict affected Upper Nile and Western Bahr El Gazal states. We computed correlations and the analysis revealed high variability in term of yield in the 2 states with an average sorghum yield of 366.03 kg/ha (SD = 292.29 kg/ha) and a strong positive correlation (0.75, p < 0.001) between cultivated land size and sorghum yield. …”
