Experimental Study on the Influence of Channel Length on Wave Propagation by QIAO Jiping, WU Yueyong, HAO Fengnan, ZHAO Di, BAI Yang

    Published 2020-01-01
“…In view of the scarce research on the influence of channel length on wave propagation in the port area, based on the physical model test and numerical model test of wave, this paper analyzes the relationship between the wave height and the channel length in the port area under different wave conditions. The research shows that:The wave height has basically no influence on the selection of the channel length. The critical channel length corresponding to the wave height in the port area is always 3 500 m,under which the wave height simulation effect in the port can be basically equivalent to that under the long channel condition. When the incident angle of wave is small, the critical channel length on the wave approach side is 4 000 m;and when the incident angle is large, the change of the channel length has little effect on the wave height distribution on the wave approach side. For long periods and large-angle incidence of waves, the effective area on the wave back side of the channel starts from the end of the channel, and covers the area between the incident wave direction and the channel axis;while for short periods or small-angle incidence of waves, there is no effective area on the wave back side of the short channel from the model.…”

Wave Propagation in L-Shape Beams with Piezoelectric Shunting Arrays by Shengbing Chen, Yubao Song, Hao Zhang

    Published 2019-01-01
“…Piezoelectric shunting arrays are employed to control the elastic wave propagation in L-shape beams. Unlike straight beams where longitudinal and flexural waves usually propagate independently, these waves are coupled in an L-shape beam. …”

Influence of Mine Tunnel Wall Humidity on Electromagnetic Waves Propagation by Lingfei Cheng, Lili Zhang, Jie Li

    Published 2012-01-01
“…High moisture in mine tunnel can cause the change of the permittivity and conductivity of tunnel walls, therefore influence the characteristics of electromagnetic waves propagation. This paper analyzes the mechanism of humidity influencing the permittivity and conductivity and attenuation of electromagnetic waves propagation in the circular tunnel and rectangular tunnel. …”

Simulation of Electron Acoustic Wave Propagation in Non-Uniform Magnetized Plasma by Hamid Reza Pakzad

    Published 2021-03-01
“…We also find that the electron density waves moves with a small wavelets around the central electron density even if the external magnetic field is constant. We propose to perform a laboratory experiment which will be able to identify the special new features of the electron acoustic waves propagation in a magnetized plasma with external varying magnetic field in which have been predicted in this investigation. …”
