Resource allocation algorithm for secure communication in UAV-assisted D2D communication network
Published 2024-02-01“…To solve the problems of energy limitation, spectrum shortage, and serious co-frequency interference in the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-assisted D2D (device-to-device) communication network under passive eavesdropping, the concept of the network secrecy energy efficiency was introduced by taking into account the secrecy rate and transmit power constraints of each user.Based on the physical layer secure transmission theory, the joint optimization problem of spectrum multiplexing and power control strategies was investigated to maximize the network secrecy energy efficiency. The problem was a nonlinear nonconvex problem, a resource allocation algorithm combining Dinkelbach’s algorithm and the convex approximation algorithm was proposed to transform the nonconvex optimization problem into a geometric planning problem through the convex approximation algorithm and ensure that the original problem converges to the global optimal solution by Dinkelbach’s algorithm.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively mitigate the co-channel interference, improve the network secrecy energy efficiency, and balance the relationship between the secure communication performance and power consumption of the network.…”

Performance analysis of mixed FSO-RF transmission in UAV relay communication systems
Published 2022-04-01“…A mixed free space optical (FSO)-radio frequency (RF) transmission was studied in the multiuser unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-aided terrestrial network.Specifically, a novel beamforming (BF) scheme was proposed based on the available statistical channel state information (CSI), and the outage performance of the considered system was analyzed. In this mixed framework, the link between the base station and the UAV employs the FSO technology, while aerial-terrestrial links use RF technology. To achieve the space division multiple access (SDMA) in RF links.First of all, the available statistical CSI was proposed, and a novel beamforming (BF) scheme was proposed to suppress the inter-user interference so that all the users can be served simultaneously. Then, based on the assumption that the FSO and RF links follow the Gamma-Gamma fading and Nakgami-m fading respectively, an analytical expression was derived for the outage probability (OP) of the considered system.Furthermore, the asymptotical OP expression in high signal-to-noise ratio regime was presented to evaluate the achievable diversity order. Finally, numerical results were given to confirm the validity of our theoretical analysis and the superiority of the proposed scheme.…”

Performance optimization for UAV-enabled V2I communications system
Published 2017-09-01“…In the emergency communication,UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicle) are used more and more widely, and a V2I (vehicle to infrastructure) vehicle communication technology based on UAV was proposed.Because of the communication distance and the shelter of the terrain, the ground vehicle and the base station may not connect directly. At this time, the UAV can be used as communication relay. In the process of communication,in order to meet the fairness of ground vehicle communication,a time interval less than the coherence time was selected based on the coordinates of moving ground vehicles, the transmission rate between vehicles in each time interval are calculated to maximize the minimum transmission rate as the optimization goal.In order to solve this problem, the entire communication process was dispersed.First,UAV flight trajectory to maximize the minimum transmission rate at each time interval within the range of the UAV flight path was calculated to get the whole communication process trajectory.Simulation results show that through the path planning of UAV,the information transmission rate of the vehicle is obviously better than the transmission rate under the fixed position of UAV.…”

Computation offloading scheme for RIS-empowered UAV edge network
Published 2022-10-01“…In order to address the challenge of low offloading rate caused by the obstacles blocking in the links between unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and ground users (GU) in urban scene, a partial task offloading scheme for UAV-enabled mobile edge computing with the aid of reconfigurable intelligence surface was proposed.A nonconvex and multivariable coupling stochastic optimization problem was formulated by the joint design of the computation task allocation, the transmit power of GU, the phase shift of RIS, UAV computation resource, and UAV trajectory, aiming at maximizing the minimum average data throughput of GU.By leveraging the properties of mathematical expectation, the stochastic optimization problem was transformed into a deterministic optimization problem. Then, the deterministic optimization problem was decomposed into three subproblems by using the block coordinate descent (BCD) algorithm.By introducing auxiliary variables, the nonconvex problems were transformed into convex optimization problems via the successive convex approximation and semidefinite relaxation, and then the approximate suboptimal solution of the original problem was obtained. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has good convergence performance and effectively improves the average data throughput of GU.…”

Radio resource and trajectory optimization for UAV assisted communication based on user route
Published 2022-03-01“…Recently, research on the application of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in wireless communication networks has been widely studied.Aiming at the downlink wireless transmission system of UAV assisted mobile user communication, a method of resource allocation and trajectory optimization based on user route was proposed.According to the known user route, the estimated large-scale channel state information was obtained in advance, and a joint optimization problem of communication bandwidth allocation and trajectory optimization was established to maximize the minimum average rate of users. The problem was a nonconvex optimization problem, and there was nonlinear coupling between the variables.By introducing the method of alternating optimization of auxiliary variables and separated variables, the original problem was decomposed into two approximate convex optimization subproblems which could be solved, and the successive convex approximation was used to iteratively optimize the two subproblems, and an approximate suboptimal solution of the original nonconvex problem was obtained.Simulation results show that the proposed method of resource allocation and trajectory optimization can effectively improve the average data throughput of users, and improve the efficiency of UAV assisted communication on the premise of ensuring the communication quality of all users.…”

AoI-oriented low-energy-consumption information collection and transmission scheduling mechanism for emergency UAV networks
Published 2023-07-01“…To address the information collection and aggregation issue in emergency scenarios characterized by the lack of public infrastructure and unstable satellite signals, an information timeliness-oriented information collection and transmission scheduling mechanism was proposed for emergency unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) networks where information collection and transmission capabilities were constrained by energy consumption.Considering the age of information (AoI) as the metric and constraint of information timeliness, a stochastics optimization problem was constructed with the objective of minimizing UAV information collection and transmission energy consumption.By resorting to the Lyapunov optimization technique, virtual queues were established to impose information timeliness constraints on queue lengths, and the original problem was decoupled into two sub-problems, information collection and transmission scheduling, with the premise of ensuring system stability.Corresponding heuristic algorithms were proposed for each sub-problem.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms conventional queue scheduling approaches in convergence rates and system energy consumption with guaranteed information timeliness.…”
