Annual cycle variations in the gut microbiota of migratory black-necked cranes
Published 2025-02-01“…However, the annual dynamics of gut microbiota in migratory birds remain unclear, hindering our understanding of their environmental adaptation.MethodsHere, we collected fecal samples from black-necked cranes (Grus nigricollis) across four seasons at their breeding grounds and used wintering ground data from databases to characterize their gut microbial compositions throughout the year. Results and discussionThe results showed that the gut microbiota was clustered by season (Bray-Curtis: R2 = 0.348, p < 0.001; UniFrac: R2 = 0.352, p < 0.001). And the summer samples exhibited higher alpha (Simpson and Shannon), beta diversity (Bray-Curtis and UniFrac) and more diverse functions in gut microbiota compared to other seasons. …”

Characterization of Microbiota in Endometrial Fluid and Vaginal Secretions in Infertile Women with Repeated Implantation Failure
Published 2019-01-01“…The EF microbiota had higher α-diversity and broader bacterial species than the VS microbiota both in the RIF and control groups. The analysis of the UniFrac distance matrices between EF and VS also revealed significantly different clustering. …”

Helicobacter pylori CagA+ strains modulate colorectal pathology by regulating intestinal flora
Published 2025-02-01“…In β-diversity, gut microbiota in control and HP CagA+ groups showed the significant distance based on UniFrac distance. Cag group was enriched a higher abundance of Staphylococcus and Corynebacterium, while control subjects were enriched in Marinifilaceae and Odoribacter. …”

Strawberry dietary intervention influences diversity and increases abundances of SCFA-producing bacteria in healthy elderly people
Published 2025-02-01“…Beta diversity, based on weighted UniFrac distances, increased significantly (P = 0.0035), potentially pathogenic bacteria decreased (P = 0.04), and abundances of SCFA-producing genera Faecalibacterium and Prevotella increased significantly. …”

The prebiotic potential of dietary onion extracts: shaping gut microbial structures and promoting beneficial metabolites
Published 2025-01-01“…However, significant structural differences in bacterial communities were observed based on weighted UniFrac distance. Notably, short-chain fatty acid (SCFA)-producing bacteria, such as Bifidobacterium_388775, Feacalibacterium, and Fusicatenibacter, were overrepresented in response to onion extracts in enterotype B. …”
