Novel level shifter based physical unclonable function circuit design by Lijuan HAN, Lei QIAN, Enyi YAO, Xin LOU, Yuan CAO, Yanhua LIU

    Published 2021-04-01
“…Level shifters are widely used in low-power, multi-threshold integrated circuit chips.A novel physical unclonable function (PUF) design based on cross-coupled level shifter was proposed. In this work, a single switching transistor was inserted in the level shifter, which was the only overhead per response bit to change the operation mode of the cross-coupled level shifter from differential to common. The signature of the PUF was extracted while in common mode, by exploiting the uncertainty of the output voltage due to the difference of the switching time of the two PMOS in the cross-coupled network.Simulated with a standard 65 nm CMOS process, the results show the proposed PUF can produce a uniqueness of 49.11% and a reliability of 96.09% with the power supply voltage ranged from 1.0 V to 1.5 V and 95.31% with the temperature ranged from -20 ℃ to 100 ℃.The energy per bit is only 0.72 pJ at a high throughput of 20 Mbit/s (1.2 V, 27 ℃).…”

Design and implementation for partition dynamically vector quantization chip by YU Ning-mei, WANG Dong-fang, LIAO Yu-min, FU Yun-qiang

    Published 2009-01-01
“…Partition dynamically vector quantization(PDVQ) chip was researched and produced to encode images. Before encoding,it first judged the correlation of the encoding image block, and then decided to choose the size of the image blocks.Test result shows that PDVQ chip can improve the compression rate to 27% in average by contrasting with the normal VQ,even to 64%.The size of the codebook in PDVQ chip was 256×16 byte, and all codevectors in the codebook were categorized by direction,in each category codebook codewords were sorted in the ascending order of their sum, this kind codebook architecture could reduce search range largely. The VLSI architecture of PDVQ chip was implemented based on Charter 0.35μm CMOS standard cell technology, its chip area was 2.08mm×2.08mm.Test result shows that,at 3.0V power supply,PDVQ chip can operate up to 100MHz.At this operation, its power dissipation is 295mW,and it can support real-time encoding application for 512×512 gray images at 30fame/s.…”

A network traffic classification method based on random forest and improved convolutional neural network by Bensheng YUN, Xiaoya GAN, Yaguan QIAN

    Published 2023-07-01
“…In order to improve the efficiency and reduce the complexity of network traffic classification model, a classification method based on random forest and improved convolutional neural network was proposed.Firstly, the random forest was used to evaluate the importance of each feature of network traffic, and the feature was selected according to the importance ranking.Secondly, AdamW optimizer and triangular cyclic learning rate were adopted to optimize the convolutional neural network classification model. Then, the model was built on Spark cluster to realize the parallelization of model training.Adopting triangular cyclic learning rate with constant cycle amplitude, the experimental results of selecting 1 024, 400, 256 and 100 most important features as input show that the model accuracy is improved to 97.68%, 95.84%, 95.03% and 94.22%, respectively. The 256 most important features were selected and the experimental results based on adopting different learning rates show that the learning rate with half the cycle amplitude works best, the accuracy of the model is improved to 95.25%, and training time of the model is reduced by nearly half.…”
