Patient-Generated Collections for Organizing Electronic Health Record Data to Elevate Personal Meaning, Improve Actionability, and Support Patient–Health Care Provider Communicatio...
Published 2025-02-01“…By observing how patients used features to select records and assemble them into collections, our goal was to learn about their preferred mechanisms to complete these tasks and the challenges they would face in the wild. We also intended to become more informed about the various ways in which patients could and would like to use collections. …”

Loss of p53 impairs death receptor expression and confers resistance to CD19 CAR T-cell therapy in BCP-ALL
Published 2025-02-01“…We observed a significantly worse overall survival after CD19-targeting CAR T therapy in children with TP53-mutated (TP53Mut) compared with TP53–wild-type (TP53WT) BCP-ALL. To investigate the effect of p53 loss on CAR T therapy response, we modeled TP53 mutations in 2 BCP-ALL cell lines and observed resistance to CAR T upon p53 loss. …”

Transcriptome Sequencing Reveals Regulatory Mechanisms of Taxol Synthesis in Taxus wallichiana var. Mairei
Published 2019-01-01“…To investigate the specific regulatory mechanisms of taxol synthesis in Taxus wallichiana var. mairei, RNA-seq was conducted to reveal the differences in transcriptional levels between wild type (WT) and “Jinxishan” (JXS), a cultivar selected from a population of Taxus mairei that shows about 3-fold higher taxol content in the needles than WT. …”

Valproic acid targets IDH1 mutants through alteration of lipid metabolism
Published 2024-08-01“…In this study, we show that valproic acid (VPA), a brain penetrant anti-seizure medication and histone deacetylase inhibitor, inhibits the growth of IDH1 mutant tumors in vivo and in vitro, with at least some selectivity over IDH1 wild-type tumors. Surprisingly, genes upregulated by VPA showed no enhanced chromatin accessibility at the promoter, but there was a correlation between VPA-downregulated genes and diminished promoter chromatin accessibility. …”

Phage vB_Kpn_HF0522: Isolation, Characterization, and Therapeutic Potential in Combatting K1 Klebsiella pneumoniae Infections
Published 2025-02-01“…The bacterial growth rate remained largely unchanged after the phage resistance mutation, but mice infected with the mutant strain showed significantly higher survival rates than those infected with the wild-type strain. vB_Kpn_HF0522 increased the survival rate of infected G. mellonella from 12.5% to 75%, inhibited incisional surgical site infections and alleviated inflammatory response in mice. Conclusion: These findings indicate that vB_Kpn_HF0522 has significant potential for treating specific bacterial infections, and may serve as an antimicrobial agent for research and clinical anti-infective therapy. Keywords: phage vB_Kpn_HF0522, phage therapy, Klebsiella pneumoniae, phage resistance, incisional surgical site infection, biofilm…”
