The Counteracting Effect of Chrysin on Dietary Fructose-Induced Metabolic-Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MAFLD) in Rats with a Focus on Glucose and Lipid Metabolism
Published 2025-01-01“…Rats fed a chow diet were separated into four groups: Control (tap water), Fructose (tap water with 10% fructose), Chrysin (tap water+ chrysin (100 mg/kg body weight/d)), and Fructose + Chrysin (tap water with 10% fructose + chrysin (100 mg/kg body weight/d, daily)) (for 18 weeks). When associated with the chow diet, chrysin reduced hepatic lipid and glycogen storage, increased the hepatic antioxidant potential of glutathione and reduced de novo lipogenesis in the adipose tissue. …”

Prediction of football injuries using GPS-based data in Iranian professional football players: a machine learning approach
Published 2025-01-01“…The acute-tochronic workload ratio was calculated separately for each variable using a ratio of 1:3 weeks. Finally, the decision tree algorithm with machine learning was utilised to assess the predictive power of injury occurrence based on the acute-to-chronic workload ratio.ResultsThe results showed that the variable of the number of decelerations had the highest predictive power compared to other variables [area under the curve (AUC) = 0.91, recall = 87.5%, precision = 58.3%, accuracy = 94.7%].ConclusionAlthough none of the selected external load variables in this study had high predictive power (AUC > 0.95), due to the high predictive power of injury of the number of deceleration variables compared with other variables, the necessity of attention and management of this variable as a risk factor for injury occurrence is essential for preventing future injuries.…”

Effects of partial replacement of soybean meal with hemp seed (Cannabis sativa L.) cake on the growth and meat quality in female three-yellow chickens
Published 2025-01-01“…To assess the effects of HSC addition in diets on the growth and meat quality in broiler chicken, a total of 240 female three-yellow chickens (50 days of age) were randomly assigned to four groups and fed with varying levels of HSC (0% (HSC0), 5% (HSC5), 10% (HSC10), and 20% (HSC20)) for 9 weeks. As a result, the daily feed intake, weight gain and feed conversion efficiency were significantly increased in the HSC20 group. …”

Association between incident falls and subsequent fractures in patients attending the fracture liaison service after an index fracture: a 3-year prospective observational cohort st...
Published 2022-07-01“…Of the fractures, 47 (78.3%) were fall related, of which 25 (53.2%) were sustained at the first fall incident at a median of 34 weeks. An incident fall was associated with an approximately 9-fold (HR: 8.6, 95% CI 3.1 to 23.8) increase in the risk of subsequent fractures. Conclusion These data suggest that subsequent fractures among patients on treatment prescribed in an FLS setting are common, and that an incident fall is a strong predictor of subsequent fracture risk. …”

Published 2023-05-01“…C3H/HeJ mice sensitized with peanut protein extract (PPE) were injected with anti-CD4 antibodies for 4 weeks. Stimulation with PPE increased the specific immunoglobulin (IgE), cytokine, histamine, and mMcp-1 levels, upregulated decorin (Dcn) expression, induced Ca2+ inflow in the spleen, and augmented the expression of the transcription factors GATA-3 and Foxp3, which resulted in Th2 and Treg cell activation. …”

Molecular identification of chitinase and its function in growth of Odontobutis potamophila
Published 2025-03-01“…The optimal gradient concentrations and intervals/efficiency of RNA interference (RNAi) in OpCht were established, the results demonstrated that RNAi significantly repressed the expression of OpCht and diminished the chitinase activity. After 8 weeks of long-term RNAi, knockdown of OpCht reduced the height of intestinal villus and the thickness of muscular layer, which led to a decline in weight gain rate (WGR), while the accompanying intestinal inflammation contributed to a decreased survival rate (SR) in O. potamophila. …”
