A single mutation in dairy cow-associated H5N1 viruses increases receptor binding breadth
Published 2024-12-01“…To understand if recent H5N1 viruses are changing their receptor use, we screened recombinant hemagglutinin (HA) from historical and recent 2.3.4.4b H5N1 viruses for binding to distinct glycans bearing terminal sialic acids using a glycan microarray. We find that H5 from A/Texas/37/2024, an isolate from the dairy cow outbreak, has increased binding breadth to core glycans bearing terminal α2,3 sialic acids, the avian receptor, compared to historical and recent 2.3.4.4b H5N1 viruses. …”

Analysis of physical layer secret key capacity in the uniform scattering environment
Published 2016-09-01“…Physical layer secret key capacity was affected by time difference of channel sounding, mobility of terminals, and additive noise.Effects on the physical layer secret key capacity were quantitatively analyzed in the uniform scattering environment.Based on the time domain statistical characteristics of narrow band wireless channel parameters with noise,a closed-form solution to physical layer secret key capacity in the time domain was derived.Afterwards, simulations in the uniform and non-uniform scattering environment were carried out to demonstrate its validity and applicability, respectively.…”

Relay-based cooperative MAC protocol with rate adaptation
Published 2017-10-01“…The existing wireless cooperative MAC protocols rarely consider the impact of channel condition and node energy consumption. To this issue,a new wireless cooperative MAC protocol was proposed, which used the random linear network coding, and introduced a mechanism of request relay frame to solve the hidden terminal problem.Specifically, the proposed method adaptively adjusted the node rate according to RSSI,and determined the relay node based on the requirements of cooperative transmission. The simulation results show that the network performance can be improved through deploying the proposed protocol.…”
