Forest Attribute Dynamics in Secondary Forests: Insights for Advancing Ecological Restoration and Transformative Territorial Management in the Amazon by Carlos H. Rodríguez-León, Armando Sterling, Amelia Trujillo-Briñez, Yerson D. Suárez-Córdoba, Lilia L. Roa-Fuentes

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Topographic differences influenced successional dynamics, with mountainous landscapes showing faster early recovery compared to the steadier, linear growth observed in hill areas. In hills, AGB at 10 years reached 12.65% of the biomass expected in a mature forest, increasing to nearly 42% by 40 years of abandonment, at a rate of 0.708 Mg C ha−1 year−1. …”

Compuestos de yeso con adición de fibras textiles de algodón recicladas = Gypsum compounds with the addition of post-consumer textile fibres of cotton by Anabel Patricia Castillo-Rodríguez, Luz Alejandra Santander-Peralta, Justo García-Navarro

    Published 2022-12-01
“…An experimental work was carried out where gypsum specimens of 4x4x16 cm were tested with post-consumer cotton fibres in different formats and lengths (20 and 35mm), additions of 0.5% and fibres of 35mm in length increased the flexural and compressive strength by 5.9% and 11% respectively, and the capillary water absorption decreased by 26% with 1% of addition. Finally, it was observed that the fibres reduce the detachment of gypsum fragments at breaking load, improving the toughness of the composites.…”

Expression of auxin transporter genes in flax (<i>Linum usitatissimum</i>) fibers during gravity response by N. N. Ibragimova, N. E. Mokshina

    Published 2024-03-01
“…Differential expression of auxin transporter genes was revealed during gravity response in fibers located on different sides of the stem (upper (PUL) and lower (OPP)). The difference was observed due to the expression of genes, the products of which are responsible for auxin intracellular transport (LusPILS3, LusPILS7-A) and its efflux (LusABCB15-B, LusABCB19-B). …”
