Detection probability analysis of cooperative spectrum sensing with the Nthbest relay selection by Xiao-ge ZHANG, Shi-bing ZHANG, Gong-an QIU

    Published 2011-11-01
“…In the cognitive radio system, the optimal relay would be selected from the n available ones to obtain the best sensing performance. However,in actual systems, the secondary or even the more general Nthbest relay may be selected for various reasons. Therefore, the cooperative spectrum sensing based on the Nthbest relay selection was proposed. The closed-form expression of the detection probability was derived in Rayleigh fading channels.Numerical results show that the detection probability declines continuously even below the one of the arbitrary selection as N increases, and that the one based on the optimal or suboptimal selection increases obviously but the one based on the worst or near worst selection decreases slightly as n increases.…”

Extended Newton-type Method for Nonsmooth Generalized Equation under n,α-point-based Approximation by M. Z. Khaton, M. H. Rashid

    Published 2022-01-01
“…In the present paper, we study the extended Newton-type method for solving the nonsmooth generalized equation 0∈fx+Fx and analyze its semilocal and local convergence under the conditions that f+F−1 is Lipschitz-like and f admits a certain type of approximation which generalizes the concept of point-based approximation so-called n,α-point-based approximation. Applications of n,α-point-based approximation are provided for smooth functions in the cases n=1 and n=2 as well as for normal maps. …”

N6-Methyladenosine in RNA and DNA: An Epitranscriptomic and Epigenetic Player Implicated in Determination of Stem Cell Fate by Pengfei Ji, Xia Wang, Nina Xie, Yujing Li

    Published 2018-01-01
“…Among the base modification markers extensively studied, 5-methylcytosine (5-mC) and its oxidative derivatives (5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5-hmC), 5-formylcytosine (5-fC), and 5-carboxylcytosine (5-caC)) dynamically occur in DNA and RNA and have been acknowledged as important epigenetic markers involved in regulation of cellular biological processes. N6-Methyladenosine modification in DNA (m6dA), mRNA (m6A), tRNA, and other noncoding RNAs has been defined as another important epigenetic and epitranscriptomic marker in eukaryotes in recent years. …”
