Astrometry of directly imaged exoplanets with optical interferometry
Published 2023-04-01“…It shows why dual field interferometry has become the key technique for faint companions. Taking the exemple of the HD 95086 b exoplanet, we show how dual field interferomtry can detect an exoplanet as faint as magnitude 19.5, and how its astrometry was extracted. …”

The First Galaxies and the Likely Discovery of Their Fossils in the Local Group
Published 2010-01-01“…We believe that current observational data supports the thesis that a fraction of the new ultra-faint dwarfs discovered in the Local Group are fossil dwarfs and we predict the existence of a population of ultra-faint dwarfs with lower surface brightness than currently observed.…”

Compatibility and antimicrobial activity of silver nanoparticles synthesized using Lycopersicon esculentum peels
Published 2024-11-01“…The initiative biosynthesis of L. esculentum silver nanoparticles (Le-AgNPs) was indicated by the color change of L. esculentum (Le) extract mixed with silver nitrate (AgNO3) solution from faint pink to faint brown. UV–visible spectroscopy, Dynamic light scattering (DLS), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), and X-ray diffraction techniques were used to characterize biosynthesized Le-AgNPs. …”

DESIGN OF A TWO-AXIS MEMS SENSOR FOR MEASURING THE FORCE AND TORQUE WITH COMB STRUCTURE
Published 2018-01-01“…Based on the micro-electro-mechanical systems(MEMS) technology, the chip structure of a two-axis force sensor with comb structure was designed.Silicon force sensitive structure converted the faint mechanical signals into measurable electrical signals. After finite element model was established, the structure and electrical properties of the sensor were analyzed. The corresponding relation between the mechanical signals and the electrical signal was obtained. The mode analysis and harmonic response analysis were performed for the model. The natural frequency of the structure and the harmonic response frequency both are verified that far away from the operating frequency of the system. The work stability and measurement accuracy of the chip are guaranteed. The resolutions of force and moment of the sensor chip are 2.85 μm and 0.0382 μN·m,respectively. The linearity of the signal conversion reached 0.999 6 and 0.999 9.The first and second order modal natural frequency is783.28 Hz and 1 294.3 Hz and harmonic response frequency is 770 Hz.Simulation results meet the requirement of performance specification.…”

Application of Autofluorescence Endoscopy for Colorectal Cancer Screening: Rationale and an Update
Published 2012-01-01“…Autofluorescence endoscopy (AFE) can detect slight alterations in their distribution and concentration during the colorectal carcinogenesis process and, thus facilitate noninvasive screening colonoscopies without the need for fluorescent substances or staining reagents to be administered. While detecting faint autofluorescence intensity by conventional fiberoptic endoscopy remains challenging, the latest AFE system with high-resolution videoendoscope capabilities enables such detection by using a false-color display algorithm. …”
