Load balance multicast routing algorithms on overlay network
Published 2009-01-01“…Overlay networks had been recently developed to support multicast framework.Specially, overlay architec-tures based on proxies and leased lines could provide applications with optimal performance in terms of bandwidth, reliability, delay guarantee, etc.A balanced multicast routing algorithm for these proxy-based overlay architectures was proposed to utilize the network resources efficiently while keeping the delay guarantee for each multicast session.First, the routing problem was modeled as a delay-constraint Steiner tree problem. Then,a balanced solution with the aid of precomputing was proposed. The precomputing performed once with high complexity. However, its outcome was used multiple times in the later low complexity tree forming algorithm.Hence, the overall complexity was low-ered.Extensive simulations show that the multicast routing algorithm provides superior performance with respect to other heuristics.…”

An overview of low resolution quantization in wireless communication system
Published 2017-06-01“…Compared to the 4th generation (4G) mobile communication technology, the 5th generation (5G) mobile communication technology will provide tens of times of peak rate increase, reaching up to several thousands megabit per second. The coming wireless communication systems face the problems of expensive hardware cost and high power consumption, which is becoming a bottleneck of high-rate communication systems. To cope with these problems, redesigning communication systems with the receiver using finite precision analog-to-digital converters (ADC) is one possible approach. The analysis of recent information theory for the AWGN channel shows that the performance loss due to 2~3 bit ADC acceptable. The application of low resolution quantization in wireless communication systems was focused on,an overview of the channel capacity and receiver design under low-precision ADC was provided.…”

Research progress of mobile video prefetching for mobile content distribution networks
Published 2021-01-01“…With the development of mobile internet and the popularization of video applications, the mobile content distribution network (MCDN) emerged as the times require.Prefetching technology is one of the key technologies for content distribution. It predicts the user’s future requests and prefetches the predicted content to the network edge in advance, thereby reducing the data acquisition delay and improving the quality of experience (QoE).In order to elaborate on the development status of mobile video prefetching technology, the latest research results of mobile video prefetching technology were introduced from the perspectives of user’s mobile behavior perception, content attribute perception, and network resource perception. And finally its main advantages and disadvantages were analyzed and the direction of further research in the future was pointed out.…”

Research on Network Selection Algorithm Based on User Preference in Heterogeneous System
Published 2014-06-01“…Most network selection algorithms did not pay more attention to user preference for networks which was based on service requirements. For this circumstance,a new network selection algorithm based on user prefenence was proposed. The algorithm was fully considerd service reqirements, user prefernece and network performance. The AHP algorithm and distance analysis were used to calculate subjective and objective user preference weight respectively for different heterogeneous networks. Then the user preference weight for networks could be obtained dynamically on the basis of user strategy. The performance of each candidate network was counted, based on which the optimum network was selected.Simulation results show that the algorithm performs well in network selection and reduces the number of handoff times as the user moves through the network boundary frequently.…”
