Static and dynamic brain functional connectivity patterns in patients with unilateral moderate-to-severe asymptomatic carotid stenosis
Published 2025-01-01“…Dynamic independent component analysis (dICA) was employed to extract independent circuits/networks and to detect time-frequency modulation at the circuit level. Further imaging-behavior associations identified static and dynamic functional connectivity patterns that reflect cognitive decline.ResultsACS patients showed altered functional connectivity in multiple brain regions and networks compared to controls. …”

Portulaca oleracea L. (purslane) extract ameliorates intestinal inflammation in diet-induced obese mice by inhibiting the TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway
Published 2025-01-01“…Pro-inflammatory cytokines were determined using ELISA kits, whereas the components of purslane extract were detected by ultra performance liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Chronic oral administration of purslane extract ameliorated colon shortening syndrome and reduced bowel inflammation in HFD-induced obese mice through suppression of the toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)/nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathway to downregulate TLR4, myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88), Ser32 phosphorylation of NF-κB inhibitor alpha (IκBα), and Ser536 phosphorylation of NF-κB p65 expression levels, thereby inhibiting the pro-inflammatory cytokines, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interleukin (IL)-6 levels.ConclusionThe present study supports the anti-inflammatory potential of purslane extract for modulating bowel inflammation under obesity through inhibition of the TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway.…”

Phasor-FSTM: a new paradigm for multicolor super-resolution imaging of living cells based on fluorescence modulation and lifetime multiplexing
Published 2025-01-01“…We propose a novel multicolor super-resolution imaging method called phasor-based fluorescence spatiotemporal modulation (Phasor-FSTM). This method uses time-resolved detection to acquire spatiotemporal data from encoded photons, employs phasor analysis to simultaneously separate multiple components, and applies fluorescence modulation to create super-resolution images. …”
