“In the days of my life.” Elite activity and interactions in the Maya lowlands from Classic to Early Postclassic times (the long ninth century, AD 760-920)
Published 2017-12-01“…Certainly punctuated here and there by radical crises and ruptures, the temporal “transition” from the Classic to the Postclassic periods must be studied as a long and thick, or complex sequence that linked up different processes in different regions with a different time sequence (Demarest et al. 2004b). But it also activated generations of actors who came into play as they became conscious of, reacted, and adapted to those changes. …”

Pressure dependence of electron- and hole-consuming reactions in photocatalytic water splitting on Pt/TiO2 studied by time-resolved IR absorption spectroscopy
Published 2003-01-01“…The decay kinetics of photogenerated electrons in the water splitting reaction on a Pt/TiO2 photocatalyst was studied by time-resolved IR absorption spectroscopy. The decay of the photogenerated electrons within 2 μs was decelerated when the catalyst was exposed to water vapor. …”

Optimization of Protein Hydrolysate from Earthworms (<i>Perionyx excavatus</i>) of Angiotensin-I-Converting Enzyme Inhibitory Activity by One Variable at a Time
Published 2025-01-01“…The results showed that the protein hydrolysate of earthworms gave the highest ACEIA of 85.38 ± 2.31% (at the protein concentration of 2 mg/mL) and IC50 value of 844.64 μg/mL when the earthworms were hydrolyzed with Flavourzyme® 500 MG under optimized conditions such as earthworm:phosphate buffer ratio of 1:6 (w/v), hydrolysis temperature of 50 °C, pH 7, enzyme:substrate ratio of 600 U/g protein and hydrolysis time of 2 h. The membrane further fractionated the hydrolysate, and the < 1 kDa fraction had the highest ACEIA with an IC50 value of 261.94 μg/mL. …”
