A Mathematical Model of Receptor-Mediated Apoptosis: Dying to Know Why FasL is a Trimer
Published 2004-06-01“…The scientific importance of understanding programmed cell death isundeniable; however, the complexity of death signal propagation andthe formerly incomplete knowledge of apoptotic pathways has left thistopic virtually untouched by mathematical modeling. …”

Interference graph based adaptive interference coordination method in indoor UDN
Published 2019-09-01“…An interference graph based adaptive interference coordination method was proposed for indoor scenario of ultra dense network (UDN).The algorithm aimed at maximizing system throughput.Firstly, the interference relationship in the system was modeled as an interference graph, and the iterative coloring algorithm was used to determine the available resources of each small cell base station (SBS).Thereafter, the SBS allocated resources to each user by using a throughput optimizing resource allocation algorithm. The method could adaptively select a resource allocation strategy according to the network topology and channel conditions, thereby mitigating interference in the system. The simulation results show that compared with the existing methods, the proposed method effectively reduces the system outage probability while significantly improving the throughput performance through a small additional signaling overhead.…”

Mechanistic insights into connexin-mediated neuroglia crosstalk in neurodegenerative diseases
Published 2025-02-01“…However, accumulating evidence suggests that Cxs can also act as pathological pore in neuroinflammatory conditions, thereby contributing to neurodegenerative phenomena such as synaptic dysfunction, oxidative stress, and ultimately cell death. This review explores mechanistic insights of Cxs-mediated intercellular communication in the progression of neurodegenerative diseases and discusses the therapeutic potential of targeting Cxs to restore cellular homeostasis.…”

L’acceptabilité sociale au bout de la transgression
Published 2021-04-01“…The other involved the production of a "societal analysis" among a local population and the reception of its results by a consortium whose ambition was to build and operate a ship using a hydrogen fuel cell. Finally, we will examine M. Callon's presentation of a sociology of translation and the role that its methods could play in building a participatory project that makes social acceptability not a means to politically secure a project, but an end, that of the rationalization of the social that it mobilizes.…”

Effects of Calcium Ion, Calpains, and Calcium Channel Blockers on Retinitis Pigmentosa
Published 2011-01-01“…However, apoptosis is not a single molecular cascade, but consists of many different reactions such as caspase-dependent and caspase-independent pathways commonly leading to DNA fractionation and cell death. The intracellular concentration of calcium ions is also known to increase in apoptosis. …”

Shakespeare for all Seasons ? Richard II en Avignon : de Jean Vilar (1957) à Ariane Mnouchkine (1982)
Published 2008-03-01“…In 1947 Jean Vilar opened the first Avignon Festival with an ascetic, charismatic eponymous hero who came to an inner knowledge of himself in his bare prison cell; in 1982 Ariane Mnouchkine offered a splendid visual display by transposing the play into the kabuki tradition; this offered the audience breath-taking and dynamic tableaux of elaborate court ceremonies and rebellious lords. At such a distance in time, the English medieval code of honour was dealt with according to completely different theatrical principles of ethics and aesthetics, mirroring the changes in perspective within French society.…”
