Mathematical analysis and dynamic active subspaces for a long term model of HIV
Published 2017-05-01“…Active subspace methods are then used to perform a global sensitivity analysis and study the dependence of an infected individual's T-cell count on the parameter space. Building on these results, a global-in-time approximation of the T-cell count is created by constructing dynamic active subspaces and reduced order models are generated, thereby allowing for inexpensive computation.…”

Markov prediction based handover in dynamic ultra dense network
Published 2018-10-01“…In order to solve the problem of the communication and computational problems of large-scale machine communication in an ultra-dense cellular network,a Markov prediction based handover scheme (MPHS) was proposed.Firstly,a kind of heterogeneous network design with semi-structure and central control was considered which contains the densely deployed virtual nodes and thus realized a low cost and efficient coverage. The network can dynamically adjust the access point according to the user's mobility and network traffic.Secondly,a Markov model was constructed, and the idea of load-aware was introduced.By weighing the signal quality and the cell load, the user's next optimal access point was effectively predicted. The simulation results show the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed scheme for cell handover predicting.…”

Call Admission Control Based on Resource Sharing in LTE-Advanced Relay System
Published 2014-02-01“…A call admission control based on resource sharing in LTE-Advanced relay system was proposed. If the shared resources of the target site for new users and handover users are used up,handover users can use the reserved r esources of the target site for handover users to access system, while new users can access system by resource sharing between the sites in the cell which the target site inside.Simulation results show that compared the proposed algorithm with LTE-Advanced system on fixed bandwidth reservation scheme and LTE-Advanced relay system on fixed bandwidth reservation scheme, the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the blocking probability of new users and dropping probability of handover users in the cell, and can improve the system resource utilization.…”

Optimal deployment of energy-efficient ultra-dense network
Published 2017-03-01“…In order to maximize energy efficiency, the stochastic geometry method was used to model the uplink of a multi-cell multi-user MIMO cellular network. Then the system power consumption model was ameliorated.Based on this,an energy efficiency maximization problem with respect to base station density, transmit power, the number of base station antennas, users per cell and pilot reuse factor was obtained.Solving the problem, the optimal network deployment,as well as the relationship between the optimal variables, hardware characteristics and propagation environment was obtained. Finally, simulation and numerical results show that the ultra-dense network deployment can significantly improve the energy efficiency. However, with the further increase of the density of the base station, the improvement of the energy efficiency was quickly saturated.More interestingly, the deployment scenario determined by the energy efficiency optimization was just massive MIMO scenarios.…”
