GsMTx-4 combined with exercise improves skeletal muscle structure and motor function in rats with spinal cord injury.
Published 2025-01-01“…On histology of rat spinal tissue, compared with SCI rats, the combined treatment significantly increased neuron counts and BDNF levels, and significantly reduced the percentage of TUNEL-positive cells (all P<0.0001). On physiology of rat soleus muscle, compared with SCI rats, the combined treatment increased the succinate dehydrogenase expression (P<0.0001), while the expression of α-glycerophosphate dehydrogenase (P<0.0001) and GDF8 protein (P = 0.0008) decreased. …”

Explore the Mechanism of Astragalus mongholicus Bunge against Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Based on Network Pharmacology and Experimental Verification
Published 2022-01-01“…In addition, we further discovered that quercetin could increase ACC phosphorylation and CPT1α expression in PA-induced HepG2 cells. Conclusions. Our results indicated that quercetin, as the main active component in AMB, exerts an anti-NAFLD effect by regulating the AMPK/MAPK/TNF-α and AMPK/ACC/CPT1α signaling pathways to inhibit inflammation and alleviate lipid accumulation.…”

Electroacupuncture Regulates Macrophage Polarization to Alleviate the Neuropathic Pain Induced by Spared Nerve Injury
Published 2025-02-01“…Immunofluorescence analyses were further performed to detect the effects of EA on interleukin-1β (IL-1β) expression and peripheral macrophage polarization. Results: EA attenuated pain behavior (P=0.002) and decreased inflammatory cytokines derived from macrophages (P=0.002 in the sciatic nerve; P=0.002 in the dorsal root ganglion, DRG) but not in Schwann (P> 0.05) or mast (P> 0.05) cells in SNI rats. In addition, EA increased M2 macrophage polarization (P< 0.0001 in the sciatic nerve; P=0.001 in the DRG) and decreased M1 macrophage expression (P=0.036 in the sciatic nerve; P=0.022 in the DRG).Conclusion: These data revealed that EA exerted analgesia by adjusting the polarization of macrophages and inhibiting the IL-1β expressing in macrophages in SNI rats. Keywords: electroacupuncture, macrophage polarization, neuropathic pain, neuroinflammation, analgesia…”
