Enhancing glioblastoma therapy: unveiling synergistic anticancer effects of Onalespib - radiotherapy combination therapy by Julia Uffenorde, Mehran Hariri, Eleftherios Papalanis, Annika Staffas, Josefine Berg, Bo Stenerlöw, Hanna Berglund, Christer Malmberg, Diana Spiegelberg, Diana Spiegelberg

    Published 2025-01-01
“…In this study, we investigated the effect of HSP90 inhibition in combination with radiotherapy in established and patient-derived glioblastoma cell lines.MethodsPotential radiosensitizing effects of the HSP90 inhibitor Onalespib were studied in XTT and clonogenic survival assays as well as in tumor-mimicking multicellular spheroid models. Further, migration capacity and effects on protein expression were studied after exposure to Onalespib and radiation using Proximity Extension Assay analysis.ResultsHSP90 inhibition with Onalespib synergistically enhanced the radiosensitivity of glioblastoma cells grown in 2D and 3D models, resulting in increased cell death, reduced migration capacity and activation of the apoptotic signaling pathway. …”

Generation of Insulin-Producing Cells from Canine Adipose Tissue-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells by Takahiro Teshima, Keiji Okamoto, Kazuho Dairaku, Tomokazu Nagashima, Masaki Michishita, Ryohei Suzuki, Hirotaka Matsumoto, Hidekazu Koyama

    Published 2020-01-01
“…Culturing AT-MSCs with the differentiation protocol under a two-dimensional culture system did not produce IPCs. However, spheroid-like small clusters consisting of canine AT-MSCs and human recombinant peptide μ-pieces developed under a three-dimensional (3D) culture system were successfully differentiated into IPCs. …”

Duodenal Organoids From Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis Patients Exhibit Absorptive and Barrier Alterations by Alia Hadefi, Morgane Leprovots, Gilles Dinsart, Maryam Marefati, Marjorie Vermeersch, Daniel Monteyne, David Pérez-Morga, Anne Lefort, Frédérick Libert, Laurine Verset, Claire Liefferinckx, Christophe Moreno, Jacques Devière, Eric Trépo, Marie-Isabelle Garcia

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Despite global heterogeneity in growth patterns, MDEOs frequently exhibited cystic spheroid morphology. MDEOs displayed altered digestive potential associated with reduced mature absorptive cell fate, but they retained their lipid metabolic capacity, possibly mediated by lipid oxidation in stem/progenitor cells. …”
