Study on Quality Inspection and Anti-Seepage Performance Evaluation of Karst Underground Dam Curtain
Published 2020-01-01“…There are many problems in the quality inspection and anti-seepage performance evaluation of karst underground dam's curtain because of its special structure and environment.Taking a typical karst underground dam seepage prevention system in southwest China as the research object, this paper identifies the distribution and weak parts of the anti-seepage curtain through the high-density resistivity method, further verifies the accuracy of results from high-density resistivity method through local water pressure test in borehole, and analyzes the composition and corrosion type of precipitates by precipitation thermogravimetry. This study provides a feasible plan for the current quality inspection and anti-seepage performance evaluation of karst underground dam,has a strong engineering reference significance for the popularization and application of karst underground dam and its safety assurance in the operation period, and also serves as an important reference for the establishment and improvement of the performance evaluation system and monitoring mechanism for the seepage control of underground reservoirs in karst areas.…”

Research on In-situ Sludge Solidification in the Ecological Refuse Landfill Closure Project
Published 2021-01-01“…For the site pilot test of in-situ sludge solidification in a large ecological landfill closure project in southwest China, this paper adopts five kinds of curing agent mix ratios for site construction, adds curing agent and conducts in-situ mixing with cleaning and mixing equipment after pretreatment of sludge, and drills and samples the treated refuse soil after rolling and curing. The test results show that the sludge treated with five kinds of curing agents could meet the design requirements on pH,moisture content, shear strength and unconfined compressive strength.Through the comparison of shear strength and unconfined compressive strength, the effect of No.5 curing agent is the best, that is,in the curing agent, the ordinary silicate content is 19.3%,the fly ash content is 6.43%,and the curing agent ratio is 25.73%.In the actual construction, the No.5 mix ratio is widely used.In addition, according to the difference of physical properties of sludge in level and treatment direction, the mix ratio of curing agent and the parameters of mixing equipment shall be adjusted appropriately to ensure the uniformity of sludge curing effect.…”

Response Analysis of Dam Heel and Gallery Arch before and after Backfilling and Water Filling of High Dam
Published 2021-01-01“…As the key to the construction of high dams, backfilling in front of the dam and filling of the foundation pit have an important impact on the stress state of key parts of the dam body, such as the dam heel and gallery arch. Therefore, this paper studies the response of dam heel and gallery arch before and after backfill and foundation pit filling of a high dam in Southwest China based on the monitoring data and simulation analysis. The results show that under the combined effect of weight, temperature and hydrostatic pressure, due to the influence of the backfill in front of the dam and the water filling height of the foundation pit,the tensile stress produces at the dam heel, and the compressive stress increases along the river at the gallery arch, with the maximum increment of 1.24 MPa.Thus, the tensile stress of the gallery arch is weakened and the stress state of the high dam is optimized, which can be further verified through the comparison with monitoring data.…”

Analysis of Flow and Pressure Pulsation in Draft Tube of Francis Turbine under Different Guide Vane Opening
Published 2023-01-01“…In order to explore the influence of the opening of the movable guide vane on the flow and pressure pulsation in the draft tube of the Francis turbine, the steady and unsteady numerical simulations were carried out by establishing a three-dimensional full-flow channel model of a Francis turbine in a power station in southwest China, and the flow characteristics and pressure pulsation of the draft tube of the Francis turbine under different guide vane opening of the rated head were studied. The results show that with the increase in guide vane opening, obvious alternating vortices appear in the straight cone section of the draft tube, which cause low-frequency pressure pulsation in the draft tube. The uniformity of pressure and velocity distribution in the draft tube gradually deteriorates, and the main frequency amplitude of pressure pulsation at the elbow section of the draft tube increases first and then decreases. The vortex zone of the draft tube causes the pressure pulsation of low frequency and high amplitude in the draft tube.…”
