Spatio-frequency domain opportunistic access in CR-MIMO system based on primary transmission mode information by Zhao LI, Jian-dong LI, Li-yuan XIAO

    Published 2012-01-01
“…An opportunistic spatio-frequency access (OSFA) strategy for CR-MIMO system was designed. When spectrum holes exist, cognitive service was implemented applying overlay approach. While there was no idle spectrum available, primary transmission mode information (PTMI) and inter-system interference channel information were exploited. And cognitive service was implemented using underlay approach. The method utilizes both spatial correlation and eigenmode transmission gain in spatial resource quality aluation.Consequently, selection diversity of both authorized channel and cognitive eigenmode was achieved. Moreover,PTMI based signal processing reduced the antenna requirement for cognitive system as well as the power loss of cognitive signal.Simulation results indicate that the proposed method could achieve significant improvement of cognitive service and near-optimal cognitive throughput on the premise that no interference is imposed on the primary.…”

    Published 2022-05-01
“…In all things connected, comprehensive perception, intelligent decision-making information era of big data, in the information acquisition of big data and a large amount of signal processing, there are still large amount of data redundancy, calculation and the shortcoming of high cost, not in time, and no marked. The transfer learning was applied, and the knowledge flow system based on the weight impact factor for information fusion was integrated to assist the analysis and simplify the calculation for the IoT sensing system. The knowledge flow mode of transfer learning and data fusion was adopted in the IoT sensing system, and the simulation calculation of short-term load prediction was made based on the partial data of regional power consumption. The influencing factors of users’ electricity consumption behavior were analyzed, and the optimal weight distribution of influencing factors was obtained through training, so as to predict the power consumption rate. The results show that in this way, it can clearly identify the characteristics of electricity consumption behavior, and predict the energy consumption according to the characteristics of electricity consumption.…”

Estimation and compensation for transmitter and receiver I/Q imbalance of full-duplex terminals by Hao-wei WU, Jun-bo ZHAO, Hao-ran XU, Jing-lan OU

    Published 2017-01-01
“…In order to reduce I/Q imbalance of the full-duplex terminal with direct-conversion transceiver,an algorithm based on self-interference signal was proposed for the estimation and compensation of I/Q imbalance in both transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx).Without the perfect transmitter or receiver for I/Q imbalance estimation, the self-interference signal from Tx chain to Rx chain was used for parameter estimation and separation, and the Tx and Rx I/Q imbalance parameters were obtained, respectively. Then the pre-compensation before transmission and the correction after receiving was processed,so that there was nearly no I/Q imbalance in this full-duplex terminal from the view of the other terminals, and the complexity of the signal processing will be reduced as a result of the absent of the I/Q imbalance estimation. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively estimate and compensate the I/Q imbalance of the full-duplex Tx & Rx terminal, and improve the overall signal quality and the system performance.…”

Improved embedded wideband speech codec fitting EV-VBR standard by XIN Jie, BAO Chang-chun, JIA Mao-shen, LIU Xin

    Published 2010-01-01
“…Based on the International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector(ITU-T) recommendation for EV-VBR coding standard and the candidate codec designed by Speech and Audio Signal Processing Laboratory(SASPL) of Beijing University of Technology,an improved embedded variable bit rates wideband speech codec was proposed. In the improved codec,ACELP coding was implied to the first two coding layers. The middle sub-frame spectral parameters were computed and quantized.Three pulses depth first tree search algorithm was designed. On the higher three coding layers embedded TCX coding was reconstructed by accumulating frequency coefficients vectors.Addition-ally,VAD and DTX functions were implemented in the improved codec.Test results show that the improved codec achieves better speech quality and much lower coding complexity than the original codec. The speech quality and coding efficiency are comparable with G.718 of a new ITU-T speech coding standard and the low delay feature is retained.…”

Heterogeneous federated bidirectional knowledge distillation transfer semi-supervised modulation recognition by Peihan QI, Yuanlei DING, Kai YIN, Jiabo XU, Zan LI

    Published 2023-11-01
“…The large-scale deployment and rapid development of the new generation mobile communication system underpin the widespread application of a massive and diverse range of Internet of things (IoT) devices. However, the distributed application of IoT devices results to significant disparities in private data and substantial heterogeneity in local processing models, which severely limits the aggregation capability of global intelligent model. Therefore, to tackle the challenges of data heterogeneity, model heterogeneity, and insufficient labeling faced by intelligent modulation recognition in cognitive IoT, an algorithm was proposed for heterogeneous federated bidirectional semi-supervised modulation recognition, which incorporated bidirectional knowledge distillation. In the proposed algorithm, a public pseudo dataset was generated by variational autoencoder in the cloud for supporting uplink global knowledge distillation, and adaptively sharing to the local devices for downlink heterogeneous knowledge distillation, while integrating a semi-supervised algorithm within the distillation process. The simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm outperforms current federated learning algorithms in terms of effectiveness and applicability in the field of communication signal processing.…”
