Research on large-scale P2P worm simulation
Published 2011-01-01“…P2P worm has its own features and existing simulation approaches can not be used to it directly.In order to simulate large-scale P2P worm,a virtual-node based simulation approach and a double-engine based simulation architec-ture were proposed.In the virtual-node based P2P simulation solution,the data and the operation of worm nodes were separated to save computational power and storage.Therefore,large-scale P2P worms were simulated with available lim-ited physical resources in single or multiple simulating computers.In double-engine P2P simulation architecture,two en-gines,local engine and network engine,were used in simulation system.The local engine was responsible for local mes-sage processing and the network engine focused on message passing in communication network.Combined with these two engines,packet level P2P worm simulation was provided by the simulation system to enhance the fidelity and scal-ability.Experimental results showed that the novel simulation solution was practical to simulate large-scale P2P worms with high fidelity.…”

Published 2018-09-01“…At present,the technologies of device and system required for the fiber-based point-to-point quantum key distribution (QKD) are gradually becoming mature and showing the trend of commercial application.Therefore,how to multiplex quantum signals and classical optical signals in a single fiber to greatly increase the capacity and save fiber resources has been becoming one of the hotspots of academia in recent years.The noise impairments in the co-propagation of quantum signals and classical optical signals over a single fiber were mainly studied.Firstly,the influences of the main noises,four-wave mixing (FWM) and Raman scattering on the quantum channels were analyzed.Next,an unequal-frequency-spacing-based FWM noise suppression algorithm and a wavelength assignment algorithm for joint suppression of FWM and Raman scattering were proposed for different application scenarios with different channel space and transmission distance.Finally,the superiorities of the proposed algorithms were verified through numerical simulations.The research results provide feasible noise suppression schemes for different application scenarios in the future.…”

OpenFlow table lookup scheme integrating multiple-cell Hash table with TCAM
Published 2016-10-01“…In OpenFlow networks,switches accept flow rules through standardized interfaces,and perform flow-based packet processing.To facilitate the lookup of flow tables,TCAM has been widely used in OpenFlow switches.However,TCAM is expensive and consumes a large amount of power.A hybrid lookup scheme integrating multiple-cell Hash table with TCAM was proposed for flow table matching to simultaneously reduce the cost and power consumption of lookup structure without sacrificing the lookup performance.By theoretical analysis and extensive experiments,optimal capacity configuration of Hash table and TCAM was achieved with the optimized cost of flow table lookup.The experiment results also show that the proposed lookup scheme can save over 90% cost and the power consumption of flow table matching can be reduced significantly compared with the pure TCAM scheme while keeping the similar lookup performance.…”
