Joint estimation of frequency and DOA with spatio-temporal under sampling by Xiang-dong HUANG, Hong-yu XIAN, Zi-yang YAN, Sen-xue JING

    Published 2016-05-01
“…In order to estimate the frequency and DOA of an incident signal with sub-Nyquist spatio-temporal sampling,A novel joint estimation algorithm based on spectrum correction and Chinese remainder theorem(CRT)was proposed.Firstly, the incident signal was parallelly sampled at multiple sensors non-uniformly located in a sparse linear array. Then,AM spectrum corrector was employed to extract the rema of frequency and phase-difference from a small quantity of snapshots. Finally, implementing the close-form CRT on these remainders directly yields the estimates of frequency and DOA.In the proposed scheme, the spectrum corrector was shared by both the frequency estimator and the DOA es-timator,which contributed to a high utilization of the snapshots.Furthermore, compared to the existing CRT based esti-mators,the proposed estimator needs not to incorporate multiple times of temporal undersampling on a single sensor, which saves considerable time consumption and thus obtain high ability of tracking time-variant objects.Simulations verify the feasibility and the high-accuracy of the proposed joint estimator and further study shows that high reconstruc-tion probability can be realized even in low SNR cases, which present the vast potential for future development.…”

Spectrum sensing algorithm based on stochastic resonance and non-central F-distribution by Yuanmeng FAN, Shunlan LIU

    Published 2023-01-01
“…To solve the problem that the detection probability of the spectrum sensing algorithm is low and the number of samples required for detection is large at low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), a spectrum sensing algorithm based on stochastic resonance and non-central F-distribution (SRNF) was proposed.By introducing direct-current stochastic resonance noise, the system model of SRNF was established, and the expression of test statistic, false alarm probability and detection probability, and the expression of decision threshold obeying non-central F-distribution were deduced, and the optimal stochastic resonance noise parameter was solved by numerical method. The simulation results show that the detection performance of the proposed SRNF algorithm is better than that of energy detection (ED) algorithm and blind spectrum sensing based on F-distribution (BSF) algorithm at a low SNR.When the false alarm probability is 5%, the SNR is -12 dB, and the number of samples is 200, the detection probability of the proposed algorithm is 95%, which is 34% and 67% higher than BSF algorithm and ED algorithm, respectively. When the SNR is -12 dB, and the detection probability reaches 95%, the number of samples required by the proposed algorithm is 210, which saves 340 samples compared to the BSF algorithm.Furthermore, the proposed algorithm is less affected by noise uncertainty than ED algorithm.…”

Research on integrated communication and positioning technology based on visible light by Wei WANG, Jianping WANG, Lifang FENG, Jianli JIN

    Published 2023-05-01
“…Visible light wireless technology transmits information through visible light, utilizing light-emitting diode (LED) light sources to achieve communication and positioning while illuminating.Visible light communication positioning integration (VLCP) technology is one of the key supporting technologies for future large-scale Internet of things (IoT) applications.Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology can be used to allocate different spectral resources to visible light communication (VLC) and visible light positioning (VLP) systems, while achieving communication and positioning functions.Resource allocation is the key to improving the efficiency of VLCP systems and expanding their applicability.A new resource allocation method based on error vector magnitude(EVM) was proposed.EVM was utilized to allocate subcarriers for positioning and communication in VLCP systems, communication and positioning performance was dynamically adjusted based on channel parameters, system quality of service (QoS) was ensured, and system channel utilization was improved. The experimental results indicate that at 1.5 m×1.5 m×1.5 m indoor environment, the proposed resource allocation algorithm can improve channel utilization by at least 19.5% compared to fixed resource allocation algorithms.Under the premise of comparable performance to algorithms that use signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for resource allocation, it greatly saves system resources and is easy to apply in practice.…”

Application of Correlation Analysis-Neural Network Model in Water Consumption Prediction in Ningxia by DOU Miao, LI Jinyan, CUI Lanbo, WEI Yimin, SU Huiyan, LI Chaochao

    Published 2022-01-01
“…The research is conducted to improve the accuracy of water consumption prediction and grasp the proportion of water consumption in various industries. Therefore,a model coupling correlation analysis and multi-layer perceptron (MLP) neural networks is proposed to predict the water consumption of industries. In this model, correlation analysis is used to select factors that have a great impact on the water consumption of industries, and then the data of the main factors is input into the neural network model to predict the water consumption of industries.Taking the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in the arid region as an example,we extract the main factors affecting the water consumption of industries from 2002 to 2016 to train a prediction model and use this model to predict the water consumption from 2017 to 2020 for prediction accuracy verification. The prediction results reveal that the average value of the multi-year relative error between the predicted value of total water consumption and the actual value is only 0.93%.Finally,the coupling model is applied to predict the water consumption of industries in the target year of 2025 in the plan of Ningxia. The prediction results show that the total water consumption will decline in 2025,and this trend of change is consistent with the autonomous regions policy of vigorously promoting the construction of a water-saving society in recent years.…”
