The role of IFN-γ/CXCL10 axis in Mycoplasma pneumonia infection
Published 2025-01-01“…In vitro, coculture with IFN-γ or activated CD4+ Th1 cells significantly promoted CXCL10 expressions in THP-1 derived macrophages, which was largely reversed by siRNA-mediated down regulation of STAT1. In addition, IFN-γ-stimulated macrophages greatly promoted the trans-migration of Th1 cells. our data show that Th1 cells-derived IFN-γ augments CXCL10 production in macrophages via the JAK-STAT1 pathway, which subsequently recruits more immune cells like Th1 cells into the infection sites, thereby constituting a positive feedback loop and aggravating the type I inflammatory responses in MPP patients.…”

Chitosan Modulates Inflammatory Responses in Rats Infected with Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli
Published 2016-01-01“…At day 7 after infection, the bacterial load in the jejunum and faeces was significantly lower in the COS group than that in the control group. Moreover, the mRNA and protein levels of IL-1β, IL-6, IL-17, IL-18, and TNF-α were significantly lower in the group of mice receiving the COS diet; also the jejunal production of toll-like receptor-4 (TLR-4) was suppressed in the COS group. …”

Altered Hepatic Lipid Metabolism Contributes to Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in Leptin-Deficient Ob/Ob Mice
Published 2013-01-01“…Ob/Ob mice also had greater liver weights, hepatic triglyceride (TG) content, and markers of de novo lipogenesis, including increased hepatic gene expression and protein content of acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC), fatty acid synthase (FAS), and stearoyl-CoA desaturase-1 (SCD-1), as well as elevated gene expression of PPARγ and SREBP-1c compared with WT mice. While hepatic mRNA levels for PGC-1α, PPARα, and TFAM were elevated in Ob/Ob mice, measures of mitochondrial function (β-HAD activity and complete (to CO2) and total mitochondrial palmitate oxidation) and mitochondrial OXPHOS protein subunits I, III, and V content were significantly reduced compared with WT animals. …”

Siglec-E augments adipose tissue inflammation by modulating TRAF3 signaling and monocytic myeloid-derived suppressor cells during obesity
Published 2025-02-01“…Immune cells, including macrophages, T cells, and neutrophils, infiltrate the AT and secrete proinflammatory cytokines to exacerbate the AT inflammation. RNA-Seq analysis of AT immune cells isolated from mice fed a high-fat diet (HFD) versus normal fat diet (ND) identified a panel of genes that were markedly downregulated, including sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin E (siglec-E), in HFD compared to ND mice.MethodsA series of experiments in wild-type (WT) and siglec-E knockout (siglec-E KO) mice was designed to investigate the effect of HFD on the functional role of siglec-E in the regulation of AT inflammation and adipogenesis. …”
