NMC and the Fine-Tuning Problem on the Brane
Published 2014-01-01“…We study a quartic potential of the form λϕ4 in the framework of the Randall-Sundrum type II braneworld model in the presence of a Higgs field which interacts nonminimally with gravity via a possible interaction term of the form -(ξ/2)ϕ2R. Using the conformal transformation techniques, the slow-roll parameters in high energy limit are reformulated in the case of a nonminimally coupled scalar field. …”

Threshold dynamics of an SIR epidemic model with hybrid of multigroup and patch structures
Published 2014-08-01“…We show that if a threshold value, which corresponds to the well-known basic reproduction number $R_0$, is less than or equal to unity, then the disease-free equilibrium of the model is globally asymptotically stable. …”

Monte Carlo Simulation of Static and Dynamic Properties of Linear Polymer in a Crowded Environment
Published 2022-01-01“…We probed the static properties of the polymer by calculating the mean square of the radius of gyration and the mean square end-to-end distance of the polymer, and we found that the scaling exponents of both the mean square end-to-end distance R2 and the mean square radius of gyration Rg2 as a function of the polymer length N vary with the area fraction of crowding agents, ϕ. …”

COMPUTER ANALYSIS OF THE STRUCTURES OF LIPASES FROM Geobacillus BACTERIA AND IDENTIFICATION OF MOTIFS DETERMINING THEIR THERMOSTABILITY
Published 2015-01-01“…Coordinated amino acid substitutions are demonstrated in the highly thermostable group (half-inactivation time > 1000 min); V198A, Q203E, V204I, Q217E; and V294I, P306A, T307A, D312S, R313H, E316G, V324I, S334N, A343T. The hydrophilic moment of α helices, correlating with the charge and polarity of amino acid in the region, exerts the most significant influence on enzyme thermostability. …”

Niacin alters ruminal microbial composition and metabolites in sheep fed a high-concentrate diet
Published 2025-01-01“…The concentrations of NH3-N (p < 0.01), propionate (p < 0.01), and butyrate (p < 0.05) in the NA group were significantly higher than those in the CON group. (3) Compared to the CON group, the ruminal pyruvate content in the NA group was significantly increased at 0 h before feeding (p < 0.05), and lactic acid (p < 0.05) was significantly decreased at 1 and 3 h after feeding, lactate dehydrogenase activities was significantly decreased (p < 0.01) at 3 and 5 h after feeding. (4) The number of specific operational taxonomic units (OTUs) in the CON and NA groups were 26 and 37, respectively, for a total of 1,178 OTUs; principal coordinate analysis (R2 = 0.172, p-value = 0.007) and non-metric multidimensional scaling (stress = 0.1646) results showed that the two groups of samples were significantly separated. (5) The species distribution bar graph shows that at the phylum level, the relative abundances of Bacteroidetes, Firmicutes, and Proteobacteria were 43.70, 36.25, and 12.77%, respectively. (6) Orthogonal projection to latent structure-discriminant analysis results showed that the two groups of samples were clearly separated in the positive and negative ionization modes, with R2Y and Q2Y values of 0.705, 0.857, 0.695, and 0.28, respectively. …”
