Construction method of optimal codebook based on Zadoff-Chu matrix by Yubo LI, Shengyi LIU, Jingjing ZHANG, Dongyan JIA

    Published 2020-03-01
“…Codebooks with low-coherence have wide utilization in code division multiple access (CDMA) communications, quantum information theory, compressed sensing and so on.In order to expand the number of codebooks, the restrictions on the transformation matrix were relaxed.Based on the Zadoff-Chu matrix, new codebooks were constructed using the difference set, almost difference set,and finite field character sum.The proposed codebooks were optimal or near optimal according to the Welch bound or Levenstein bound.Through experimental simulation,it is found that the deterministic measurement matrices constructed using these codebooks also have good performance in the process of compressed sensing.…”

Operator dimension parity fractionalization by Christopher W. Murphy

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Abstract Lorentz invariant quantum field theories (QFTs) with fermions in four spacetime dimensions (4D) have a ℤ 4 symmetry provided there exists a basis of operators in the QFT where all operators have even operator dimension, d, including those with d > 4. …”

Can the New Neutrino Telescopes Reveal the Gravitational Properties of Antimatter? by Dragan Slavkov Hajdukovic

    Published 2011-01-01
“…If there is such a gravitational repulsion, the gravitational field, deep inside the horizon of a black hole, might create neutrino-antineutrino pairs from the quantum vacuum. While neutrinos must stay confined inside the horizon, the antineutrinos should be violently ejected. …”

Ballistic conductance with and without disorder in a boundary-driven XXZ spin chain by Adam J. McRoberts, Roderich Moessner

    Published 2025-01-01
“…We find the classical model reproduces the quantum results in remarkable detail, and provides an analytical handle on the nature and shape of the spin transport's three distinct regimes: ballistic (easy-plane), subdiffusive (isotropic) and insulating (easy-axis). …”

Derivation of Line Shape Function in the Optical Conductivity by a New Diagram Method by Nam Lyong Kang, Sang Don Choi

    Published 2014-01-01
“…The result satisfies the population criterion, which states that the distribution functions for electrons and phonons should be combined in multiplicative forms and gives physical intuition to quantum dynamics of electrons in a solid. This method can be called the “KC diagram” method because it originates from the proper application of the Kang-Choi reduction identity and a state-dependent projection operator.…”

Characterizing out-of-distribution generalization of neural networks: application to the disordered Su–Schrieffer–Heeger model by Kacper Cybiński, Marcin Płodzień, Michał Tomza, Maciej Lewenstein, Alexandre Dauphin, Anna Dawid

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Here, we show how the informed use of an interpretability method called class activation mapping, and the analysis of the latent representation of the data with the principal component analysis can increase trust in predictions of a neural network (NN) trained to classify quantum phases. In particular, we show that we can ensure better out-of-distribution (OOD) generalization in the complex classification problem by choosing such an NN that, in the simplified version of the problem, learns a known characteristic of the phase. …”
