A Storage System for Image File in Cloud Computing
Published 2014-02-01“…As cloud computing enters the mainstream, the numbers of virtual machine in one cloud pool is becoming more and more. So,how to quickly and cheaply migrate virtual machines between different hosts for load balance and power savings is becoming one of the hot and tough problems in this filed for the researchers.A distributed storage system was presented, which was called IFSpool. The system was based on Lustre and was designed to achieve the following three goals:high capacity and high extensibility to support thousands of VM images, high I/O throughput for data access, and booting optimization for boot storm.IFSpool combined a queue mechanism and a cache mechanism in a seamless way,to improve I/O throughput and lighten the boot storm by coordinating data access order. The I/O bandwidth and storage capacity of IFSpool can be easily aggregated and extended by adding storage nodes and servers dynamically. The experimental results show that IFSpool is effective and efficient for VM migration.…”

Research on Flow Regime Hydraulics of Sluice-Passing Flows in Reconstruction Design of Large Sluice in Meandering River Channels
Published 2022-01-01“…Large sluices in meandering river channels have large sluice-passing flow rates and turbulent flow regimes during floods, and downstream energy dissipaters of the sluice cannot be easily repaired once they are damaged by erosion.Taking the reconstruction of the Jimei Sluice as a research project, this paper tries to solve the problem that how to make the reconstructed sluice avoid the large scour pit that has a size of 50 000 m2 and a maximum depth of 23 m and is formed by the erosion of current downstream stilling pools. In addition, the paper uses the technical route of changing the layout of the sluice opening and the angle between the sluice axis and the river channel centerline and establishes a two-dimensional hydrodynamic mathematical model to analyze the water level,sluice-passing flow regimes, and erosion. The results of the comparison find that the angle between the sluice axis and the river channel centerline is 88° (rotating counterclockwise by 2°),and the full-depth sluice scheme is suitable. The research ideas and methods can provide a reference for similar projects.…”

Towards edge-collaborative, lightweight and privacy-preserving classification framework
Published 2022-01-01“…Aiming at the problems of data leakage of perceptual image and computational inefficiency of privacy-preserving classification framework in edge-side computing environment, a lightweight and privacy-preserving classification framework (PPCF) was proposed to supports encryption feature extraction and classification, and achieve the goal of data transmission and computing security under the collaborative classification process of edge nodes.Firstly, a series of secure computing protocols were designed based on additive secret sharing.Furthermore, two non-collusive edge servers were used to perform secure convolution, secure batch normalization, secure activation, secure pooling and other deep neural network computing layers to realize PPCF.Theoretical and security analysis indicate that PPCF has excellent accuracy and proved to be security.Actual performance evaluation show that PPCF can achieve the same classification accuracy as plaintext environment. At the same time, compared with homomorphic encryption and multi-round iterative calculation schemes, PPCF has obvious advantages in terms of computational cost and communication overhead.…”
