Chromosome‐scale genome assembly of Poa trivialis and population genomics reveal widespread gene flow in a cool‐season grass seed production system by Caio A. C. G. Brunharo, Christopher W. Benson, David R. Huff, Jesse R. Lasky

    Published 2024-03-01
“…To better understand and manage infestations, we assembled and annotated a haploid genome of P. trivialis and studied troublesome field populations from Oregon, the largest cool‐season grass seed producing region in the United States. …”

Multi-Temporal Analysis and Techno-Economic Evaluation of Offshore Wind Energy Integration to the Western Interconnection by Li He, Shahnawaz Siddiqui, Sameer Nekkalapu, Sohom Datta, Travis Douville, Konstantinos Oikonomou, Manisha Maharjan

    Published 2024-01-01
“…This research builds upon an approach that evaluates these operational elements and extends its application to the planning of electricity transmission systems in the context of the emergence of offshore wind (OSW) energy projects in Northern California and Southern Oregon. Three generation and transmission scenarios across two future representations of the Western Interconnection (WI) are modeled, and detailed production cost modeling (PCM) and power flow (PF) models of each topology were constructed. …”

Sources and Trends of CO, O3, and Aerosols at the Mount Bachelor Observatory (2004–2022) by Noah Bernays, Jakob Johnson, Daniel Jaffe

    Published 2025-01-01
“…We report the occurrence and sources of high baseline ozone days, defined as a day where the daily maximum 8 h average (MDA8) exceeds 70 ppb, as observed at the Mount Bachelor Observatory (MBO, 2.8 km asl) in Central Oregon from 2004 to 2022. We used various indicators and enhancement ratios to categorize each high-O3 day: carbon monoxide (CO), aerosol scattering, the water vapor mixing ratio (WV), the aerosol scattering-to-CO ratio, backward trajectories, and the NOAA Hazard Mapping System Fire and Smoke maps. …”
