Stochastic gradient descent algorithm preserving differential privacy in MapReduce framework
Published 2018-01-01“…Aiming at the contradiction between the efficiency and privacy of stochastic gradient descent algorithm in distributed computing environment,a stochastic gradient descent algorithm preserving differential privacy based on MapReduce was proposed.Based on the computing framework of MapReduce, the data were allocated randomly to each Map node and the Map tasks were started independently to execute the stochastic gradient descent algorithm. The Reduce tasks were appointed to update the model when the sub-target update models were meeting the update requirements, and to add Laplace random noise to achieve differential privacy protection.Based on the combinatorial features of differential privacy, the results of the algorithm is proved to be able to fulfill ε-differentially private. The experimental results show that the algorithm has obvious efficiency advantage and good data availability.…”

5G-oriented information sharing mechanism within D2D clusters
Published 2016-01-01“…Device-to-Device(D2D)communication is an important technology in 5G network. It helps to improve the transmission efficiency of data dissemination services. However, due to the extra signaling overhead caused by D2D communications, currently most of enhanced-multicast solutions cannot solve the contradiction between high-efficient data transmission and low-efficient signaling procedure,so as to reduce the overall performance gain.An intra-cluster D2D information sharing algorithm based on matrix analysis which includes centralized and distributed modes was proposed. The proposed algorithm could significantly reduce D2D retransmission times in clusters by adaptively selecting the optimal transmitters and data packets for D2D multicast retransmission, achieving the aim of reducing signaling overhead and transmission delay.…”

Robust adaptive beamforming algorithm
Published 2009-01-01“…The performance of least mean squares(LMS) algorithm degraded dramatically in the presence of even slight steering vector mismatches. In order to overcome the shortage,a novel robust adaptive beamforming algorithm based on the variable diagonal loading technique was proposed. The signal steering vector was obtained via the gradient-descent method and the diagonal loading term was incorporated at each recursive step. Then, the optimal weight vector was de-rived.To account for the contradiction of convergence rate and steady errors,a function between the step size and input signals was built to obtain the variable step size. The proposed algorithm had a low complexity cost without the inverse matrix and eigendecomposition. The proposed algorithm offered faster convergence rate, provided a sufficient robustness against the mismatches and made the mean output array SINR consistently close to the optimal one.The theoretical analysis and simulation results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed algorithm can outperform that of the conventional algorithm.…”

Yellow Perils of Robert Heinlein
Published 2021-04-01“…Still revered by an overwhelmingly white, male and ideologically libertarian readership, the “Dean” of American Science Fiction made extensive use of threatening, hateful or contemptible images of East Asians in novels that appeared from the 1930s through the 1960s. The contradiction between Heinlein’s self-portrayal as broad minded and unbiased on issues of race and religion and the descriptions of East Asians as menacing and untrustworthy Others that suffuse his fiction has not been systematically investigated until now. …”

Écrits comptables et commerce interreligieux : les cas des registres d'Ugo Teralh de Forcalquier et de la compagnie Datini (xive-xve siècles)

Often in perfect contradiction with the normative texts, aiming at a more and more important spatial segregation between the various religious groups, the papers of the practice of business allow historians to present a different interpretation of their relations and to bring to light a scale of common moral values.…”

User-centric energy efficiency fairness in backscatter-assisted wireless powered communication network
Published 2020-07-01“…In order to address the unfair user-centric energy efficiency (EE) problem caused by channel difference in the backscatter-assisted wireless powered communication network,a resource allocation scheme was proposed.Firstly,a mixed integer nonconvex fractional programming problem was formulated to maximize the minimum user-centric EE,subject to the quality of service and energy-causality constraints.Based on the generalized fractional programming theory, the original problem was transformed into a mixed integer nonconvex subtraction problem. With the aid of the slack variable, the proof by contradiction, the auxiliary variable and the mixed integer nonconvex subtraction problem were further transformed into an equivalent convex problem. Finally,an iterative algorithm was proposed to obtain the optimal solutions.Computer simulations validated the quick convergence of the proposed iterative algorithm, and that the developed resource allocation scheme efficiently guarantees the fairness among users in terms of EE.…”

Introduction of Reclaimed Water Utilization and Progress in Frontier Research in Japan
Published 2023-01-01“…Due to population growth and global warming, the contradiction between the supply and demand of water resources is becoming more and more serious. In recent years, reclaimed water utilization has gained widespread attention globally as a way to alleviate water shortage.Compared with natural water resources, reclaimed water has the advantages of being large and stable in quantity, easy to use,and not being constrained by climatic conditions. If urban wastewater is properly treated and reused,it can alleviate the global water shortage to a large extent.Japan,as one of the early adopters of reclaimed water, has accumulated some experience in wastewater reuse. This paper summarized reclaimed water-related policies, treatment technologies, examples in Japan, and the international standard setting. It also outlined reclaimed water measures and the purpose and basic philosophy behind the related policies in Japan, especially the performance evaluation criteria of reclaimed water treatment technology,so as to provide some reference for the utilization and promotion of recycled water in China.…”
