Study on Seismic Response Characteristics of Shield Tunnel in Soil-Rock Combination Stratum by Guang-Biao Shao, Xi-Sen Fan, Jin-Hua Shang, Li-Xin Lu

    Published 2022-01-01
“…The seismic response law of tunnel cross-section is studied by the model test and numerical analysis. The results revealed the following: (1) the peak bending moment distribution diagram derived from numerical calculation is consistent with that obtained from the shaking-table model test, which has shown that the numerical and experimental methods are correct, and the research results are available for the seismic resistance of shield tunnels. (2) The deformation, axial force, shear force, and bending moment of the tunnel structure in the soil-rock combination stratum under the action of S-wave change abruptly and significantly at the soil-rock interface section, and the difference in structural stress between the upper and lower sides of the soil-rock interface increased by 65.5%. …”

Movement Characteristics of Typhoon Rainstorm-Triggered Debris Flow in Qinglong Gully Based on Massflow Model by XIONG Chaozheng, JI Feng, SHI Yuchuan

    Published 2023-01-01
“…Typhoon Lekima made landfall on August 10,2019,causing a massive typhoon rainstorm-triggered debris flow in Qinglong Gully located in the middle and low mountainous area of southern Anhui. To deeply explore the movement characteristics of the typhoon rainstorm-triggered debris flow, this study identifies the characteristics, formation conditions, and source distribution of Qinglong Gully. On this basis,it builds a high-precision three-dimensional model of the study area to calculate two working conditions of the non-typhoon rainstorm and typhoon rainstorm. In addition,Massflow, the software for surface-process dynamic numerical analysis,is employed for numerical simulation and comparative analysis of debris-flow movement characteristics. The results show that the typhoon rainstorm-triggered debris flow has a faster forward speed compared with the non-typhoon rainstorm-triggered debris flow.It moves to the monitoring points j1—j5 at 600 s,100 s,1500 s,1 600 s,and 1 900 s,respectively, and the front can cause damage to the channels and buildings along the way in a short time.Three main accumulation areas are formed in the outbreak of the debris flow. The maximum accumulation thickness of the typhoon rainstorm-triggered debris flow is 3.08 m,3.80 m,and 7.75 m,and the accumulation area is 36 324.4 m2,3 700.4 m2,and 32 279.5 m2,respectively.The debris flow has the characteristics of a large height and plane range of influence, which is more likely to cause serious life and property damage to engineering buildings and residents.…”
