Adaptive-mutation Whale Optimization Algorithm for Flood Control Operation of Reservoir Groups
Published 2023-01-01“…Flood control operation of reservoir groups is a complex nonlinear optimization problem involving multiple dimensions, variables, and stages, and plays a vital role in developing efficient and stable methods to enhance the overall flood control capacity of river basins.Whale optimization algorithm (WOA) is an innovative evolutionary algorithm inspired by whale predation behaviors. However, when it is employed to solve flood control operation, problems of premature convergence and proneness to fall into local optimum will occur. To this end, this paper proposes an adaptive-mutation whale optimization algorithm (AWOA) for solving the flood control operation of reservoir groups. In AWOA,an enhanced chaotic strategy is adopted to ensure the dispersion and uniformity of the initial operation scheme.Secondly,a reverse oscillation mutation strategy is utilized to enhance the global search ability. Finally,an adaptive weight strategy is leveraged to realize local fine exploration.Classical test functions and typical operation scenarios in West River show that the proposed method has significant peak shaving effects under various scenarios. With a fast convergence rate and high search accuracy,AWOA provides a novel and practical method for solving the flood control operation of reservoir groups.…”

The Lagrangian and Hamiltonian for the Two-Dimensional Mathews-Lakshmanan Oscillator
Published 2020-01-01“…The purpose of this paper is to illustrate the theory and methods of analytical mechanics that can be effectively applied to the research of some nonlinear nonconservative systems through the case study of two-dimensionally coupled Mathews-Lakshmanan oscillator (abbreviated as M-L oscillator). (1) According to the inverse problem method of Lagrangian mechanics, the Lagrangian and Hamiltonian function in the form of rectangular coordinates of the two-dimensional M-L oscillator is directly constructed from an integral of the two-dimensional M-L oscillators. (2) The Lagrange and Hamiltonian function in the form of polar coordinate was rewritten by using coordinate transformation. (3) By introducing the vector form variables, the two-dimensional M-L oscillator motion differential equation, the first integral, and the Lagrange function are written. …”

HIGH-SPEEP ROLLING BEARING-DUAL ROTOR SPINDLE SYSTEM NUMERICAL SIMULATION ANALYSIS OF DISCRETE MODELING DYNAMICS
Published 2021-01-01“…The results shows that:( 1) Due to the influence of nonlinear characteristics of the system, the system responds to multiples and combined frequencies of the excitation frequency under multi-frequency coupling excitation, the system vibration response is extremely complex.( 2) The change of the radial clearance of the intermediate roller bearing has a certain influence on the system response, the effect on the response of the supporting bearing is small, and the small clearance can reduce the response displacement of the center of the intermediate bearing and the rotor system,so that the system tends to be stable.( 3) Properly increasing the number of supporting bearing rolling elements reduces the response of the supporting bearing and rotor center, and the system stability also increases.( 4) The general trend of the simulation curve is the same as the experimental data but not fully in agreement, and the result has some errors( the error is about 15. 6%). …”
