Radio resource and trajectory optimization for UAV assisted communication based on user route by Lei LANG, Jingning WANG, Yi WANG, Zitao ZHAO

    Published 2022-03-01
“…Recently, research on the application of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in wireless communication networks has been widely studied.Aiming at the downlink wireless transmission system of UAV assisted mobile user communication, a method of resource allocation and trajectory optimization based on user route was proposed.According to the known user route, the estimated large-scale channel state information was obtained in advance, and a joint optimization problem of communication bandwidth allocation and trajectory optimization was established to maximize the minimum average rate of users. The problem was a nonconvex optimization problem, and there was nonlinear coupling between the variables.By introducing the method of alternating optimization of auxiliary variables and separated variables, the original problem was decomposed into two approximate convex optimization subproblems which could be solved, and the successive convex approximation was used to iteratively optimize the two subproblems, and an approximate suboptimal solution of the original nonconvex problem was obtained.Simulation results show that the proposed method of resource allocation and trajectory optimization can effectively improve the average data throughput of users, and improve the efficiency of UAV assisted communication on the premise of ensuring the communication quality of all users.…”

Hydro-wind-solar Complementary Operation Rules Considering System Reliability and Extreme Failure by JING Han, CHEN Xiang, MENG Hongwen, LIU Benxi

    Published 2023-01-01
“…The uncertainty of renewable energy output and the vulnerability under extreme weather conditions have become more and more prominent in the safety of power grid operation. The study proposes a long-term complementary operation rule generation method for hydro-wind-solar power that considers both the guaranteed rate of power generation and the extreme failure.Considering the joint output guarantee rate and the extreme failure of the hydro-wind-solar system, the method takes the maximum power generation as the goal.It uses the mixed-integer nonlinear program to carry out long-term sequence simulation joint operation of hydropower, wind power, and solar power. On this basis, the grey relation analysis is applied to screen the input factors. With the output of each hydropower station as that of the network, the BP neural network is adopted to generate the hydro-wind-solar complementary operation rules. Finally, the validity of the proposed model is verified through case analysis. The superiority of the proposed model is further demonstrated through the simulation analysis of scenarios related to different wind and solar installed capacities and extreme failure.…”

Multi-access edge computing offloading in maritime monitoring sensor networks by Xin SU, Ziyi WANG, Yupeng WANG, Siyuan ZHOU

    Published 2021-03-01
“…Multi-access edge computing can effectively guarantee the low-latency, high-reliability data transmission of ocean monitoring sensor networks and various related maritime applications. In the offshore scenario, two offloading models of multi-user single-hop unicast and multi-user multi-hop unicast were established in combination with the distribution of edge computing resources. The mixed integer nonlinear programming was used to separate optimization targets and effectively allocate transmission power. The unloading decisions were made by improving the traditional artificial fish swarms algorithm. The results show that the proposed optimization algorithm can reduce the network delay by nearly 19% compared with the traditional scheme. In the far-sea scenario, a multi-user single-hop unicast offloading model was established, and a reasonable channel allocation algorithm was proposed based on the network connection probability. The results show that when the network connection time is sufficient, the number of allowable sub-channels can be increased to reduce the network delay. When the network connection time is limited, the number of unloaded marine user equipment can be controlled to ensure the network transmission delay.…”
