Study on Effects of Reservoir Construction on Hydrological Regime of Downstream River Morphology Transition Area by CHEN Jian, CHEN Chen

    Published 2020-01-01
“…The resultsshow that the combination of the one-dimensional and two-dimensional hydrodynamic calculationmodel can objectively reflect the hydrodynamic changes in the transition area from the narrow anddeep mountain river channels at the upper reach to the broad, shallow and many-branch plain riverchannels at the lower reach, which is suitable for the study on the changes of hydrological regimein this area.Due to the storage and operation of the hot spring reservoir, in August of the floodseason, the flow of river channel at the lower reach of reservoir reduces significantly, with waterdepth, water width, and flow rate of river section decreasing obviously. …”

Past and Future Exceedances of Nitrogen Critical Loads in Europe by Maximilian Posch, Jean-Paul Hettelingh, Petra Mayerhofer

    Published 2001-01-01
“…It is shown that higher temperatures, changed precipitation patterns, and modified net primary production mainly increase critical loads, except in mountainous and arid regions. Using consistent scenarios of climate change and air pollution from a recently completed European study (AIR-CLIM), it is shown that the exceedances in 2100 of the critical loads are declining in comparison to 2010. …”

Spatio-temporal Variation Characteristics and Influencing Factors of Bank Collapse in Reservoir Area of Jinghong Hydropower Station by LIANG Ruifeng, XU Peng

    Published 2020-01-01
“…The reservoir area of Jinghong hydropower station belongs to the medium mountain canyon landform with variable stratum lithologies and complex geological structures.By investigation and review of bank collapse in the reservoir area in 2009,2012,2014 and 2019,this paper summarizes and analyzes the temporal-spatial variation characteristics and influencing factors of bank collapse. The results show that:①Up to the survey period in 2019,there are 299 bank collapses in the reservoir area. The bank collapse with volume between 10~100 m3 occupies the first place,130 bank collapses stop developing and 169 bank collapses are developing;②The number of bank collapse is increasing year by year;the bank collapses are mainly distributed in the reservoir section with steep terrain, thicker loose layer and strong weathered rock;the reservoir area is mainly characterized by small-scale bank collapse, but there is a trend of gradual expansion;the increase of bank collapses which are developing is obviously slowing down and the bank collapses in earlier stage show a gradually stable state;③Specific topography, thicker loose layer, economic trees which are unfavorable to soil and water conservation, and frequent human production activities are the main factors for bank collapses.…”
