Measuring Interest Rate Risk with Embedded Option Using HPL-MC Method in Fuzzy and Stochastic Environment by Enlin Tang, Wei Du

    Published 2020-01-01
“…Under the premise that the fluctuation of interest rate follows fuzzy stochastic process, based on the option characteristics of financial instruments with embedded option, this paper takes effective duration and effective convexity as tools to measure interest rate risk when embedded options exist, tries to choose CIR extended model as term structure model, and uses the Monte Carlo method for hybrid low deviation sequences (HPL-MC) to analyze the prepayment characteristics of MBS, a representative financial instrument with embedded options, when interest rates fluctuate; on this basis, the effectiveness of effective duration management of interest rate risk is demonstrated with asset liability management cases of commercial banks.…”

Three-dimensional localization under severely obstructed NLOS environment by Zhu XIAO, Jie CHEN, Dong WANG, Xiao-hong LI, Ren-fa LI

    Published 2015-08-01
“…In the severely obstructed NLOS(non-line-of-sight)environment,obstacles between the UN(unknown node)and RS(reference station)made the DP(direct path)undetectable. It greatly restricted the application of wireless localization method.A three-dimensional localization scheme, which utilized the distance and orientation information of single-bounce signal, was proposed to evade the DP blocking effect in three-dimensional NLOS environment.Within the proposed localization scheme,three-dimensional spatial location relationship among the RS,UN and scatterers was proven.Anoptimization algorithm based on least mean square was proposed and the mathematical solution to the position relationship was derived.Furthermore, the performance of algorithm is studied by using RMSE(root mean-square error)analysis.Through Monte-Carlo simulations, how distance and orientation deviation of three-dimensional localization frame affect performance of algorithms is examined. It is also demonstrated that the analytical results closely match the simulations, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed three-dimensional NLOS localization algorithm.…”

Indoor millimeter-wave D2D communication modeling combining self-blockage and common blockage by Lei WANG, Xiao-ting YU, Ming-kai CHEN, Yi QIAN

    Published 2017-12-01
“…The high transmission rate characteristic of millimeter wave (mmWave) technology can meet the requirements of large amount of data communications among intelligent devices for indoor scenario. While guaranteeing high throughput, reducing the interference simultaneously in a closed region is still a challenge. For indoor transmission, the human bodies are considered as main blockages besides common blockages. Thus,a new system model is presented, constructing the human body into a self-blockage model, while using multi-ball LOS link state model to describe the conventional blockage. The combination of the two will give a more comprehensive and accurate expression of indoor obstruction. The proposed model uses stochastic geometry to analyze system performance by giving a closed expression of coverage and rate. The simulation results show that the model is accurate to describe the distribution of blockages via the comparison between analysis and Monte Carlo simulations.…”
