“…To address the influence of limited network bandwidth of edge devices on the communication efficiency of federated learning, and efficiently transmit local model update to complete model aggregation, a communication-efficient federated learning method via redundant data elimination was proposed.The essential reasons for generation of redundant update parameters and according to non-IID properties and model distributed training features of FL were analyzed, a novel sensitivity and loss function tolerance definitions for coreset was given, and a novel federated coreset construction algorithm was proposed.Furthermore, to fit the extracted coreset, a novel distributed adaptive sparse network model evolution mechanism was designed to dynamically adjust the structure and the training model size before each global training iteration, which reduced the number of communication bits between edge devices and the server while also guarantees the training model accuracy.Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves 17% reduction in communication bits transmission while only 0.5% degradation in model accuracy compared with state-of-the-art method.…”

“…Geographical information extracted from social media text reveals underlying spatial correlations.A geographical location prediction method for social media text based on multimodal fusion was proposed.By utilizing images associated with the text as augmented data, an integrated image-text dataset was constructed to enhance the accuracy of geographical location prediction.The multimodal fusion model employs separate channels for images and text to independently extract their respective geographical location information.Additionally, a text-image matching module was introduced to denoise the image-text pairs, effectively solving the issue of text-image misalignment.Experimental results on the Geotext dataset indicate that compared to the baseline model, the proposed method reduces the median error distance by 18.8% and the average error distance by 4.5%.…”

“…Software defined networking (SDN) simplifies the network architecture,while the controller is also faced with a security threat of “single point of failure”.Attackers can send a large number of forged data flows that do not exist in the flow tables of the switches,affecting the normal performance of the network.In order to detect the existence of this kind of attack,the DDoS attack detection method based on conditional entropy and GHSOM in SDN (MBCE＆amp;G) was presented.Firstly,according to the phased features of DDoS,the damaged switch in the network was located to find the suspect attack flows.Then,according to the diversity characteristics of the suspected attack flow,the quaternion feature vector was extracted in the form of conditional entropy,as the input features of the neural network for more accurate analysis.Finally,the experimental environment was built to complete the verification.The experimental results show that MBCE＆amp;G detection method can effectively detect DDoS attacks in SDN network.…”
