Temporal and Spatial Distribution of Daily Precipitation Concentration Index in Poyang Lake Basin
Published 2022-01-01“…Considering the daily precipitation data of 14 meteorological stations in the Poyang Lake Basin from 1957 to 2019,this paper used the precipitation concentration index (CI) to characterize the concentration degree of daily precipitation in the Poyang Lake Basin. After the analysis of the spatial distribution characteristics of the annual average precipitation concentration (ACI) in this basin, the trend of CI was further detected by the Mann-Kendall and Sen's method, and the change-point year of CI was also tested by the Pettitt method. The following conclusions can be drawn from the results:① The ACI of the Poyang Lake Basin increases from south to north, indicating that precipitation in the north of this basin is more concentrated and the probability of extreme precipitation events is also higher in the north;② There is a significant upward trend for the CI at most stations in the east, which means that the precipitation concentration there is increasing;③ A change-point year was observed for the CI at the Jingdezhen Station (in the year of 2006) and the Nancheng Station (in the year of 2009).The average CI after the change-point year is higher than that before the change-point year at both stations, which indicates that in recent years, the daily precipitation at the Jingdezhen Station and the Nancheng Station is highly concentrated in a year.…”

Application of Data Visualization Technology in Water Resources Management Based on Cesium
Published 2021-01-01“…Three-dimensional virtual simulation technology is widely used in the fields of digital earth, digital city, digital watershed, etc. It is more conducive for scientific researchers to gain insight into the laws of the scientific data by using the visualization technology in the simulation system. However, the representation of scientific data is more dependent on professional visualization software in practical applications, which leads to its separation from the existing simulation system. In view of this, this paper systematically introduces the related technical principles and the implementation methods of visualization technology, such as heat maps, scalar visualization of water depth, projected texture transformation, meteorological cloud map drawing, water depth contours and isosurface real-time rendering, and effectively integrates a variety of technologies in the Cesium-based 3D simulation platform. The results show that the final display frame rate of each technology is greater than 30 fps so that it can meet the requirements of real-time display, and smooth screen.Based on the technology, the data representation form of the original system is enriched, and a strong basis for large-capacity scientific computing and real-time display is obtained. Therefore,it is expected to be more widely used in virtual reality and scientific visualization.…”

Analysis of Drought Evolution Characteristics in Haihe River Basin Based on Sub-Period Prediction Model
Published 2022-01-01“…In order to reduce the prediction uncertainty of future extreme climate events,a sub-period prediction model was constructed based on the daily observed precipitation data of 0.5°×0.5° provided by the China Meteorological Data Service Center and the simulated data of five global climate models (GCMs) from CMIP5.Meanwhile,the spatio-temporal evolution of drought in the Haihe River Basin (HRB) during 2020—2050 was predicted. Results show that both single GCM and multi-model ensemble average can better reproduce changes in annual average precipitation in HRB,but a large error in extreme precipitation simulation exists. The sub-period prediction model was constructed by the regression relationship at the monthly scale between the five GCMs and actually observed precipitation, and the test results show that the model has significantly improved the simulation ability of extreme precipitation in HRB.In the future,HRB tends to be humid, with moderate drought mainly appearing.Spatially, the frequency and degree of drought increase from west to east. This study aims to provide a reference for improving the ability of GCMs in simulating extreme climate events and offer ideas for decision-making for future droughts in HRB.…”

Analysis of Spatiotemporal Dynamic Characteristics on Potential Evapotranspiration and Water Budget in Hebei Province
Published 2022-01-01“…The spatiotemporal dynamic characteristics of regional potential evapotranspiration can lay a theoretical foundation for regional rational crop planting and scientific agricultural irrigation. In the context of global warming and increasing evapotranspiration rates, the Penman-Monteith equation is used to calculate the potential evapotranspiration (ET0) and water budget (K) of Hebei Province from1967 to 2019 according to the actual meteorological observation data of twelve weather stations in Hebei Province, and the characteristics of their spatiotemporal dynamic variations are analyzed. On this basis, the analysis method of the Morlet wavelet function is introduced for the cycle analysis of ET0 and K in 53 years. The results show that ET0 has obvious zonal characteristics, and it is generally on the rise while K is on the decline during this period. Moreover, the evapotranspiration variations vary with seasons:ET0 shows an upward trend in spring, autumn, and winter but a downward trend in summer. The cycle of K has the most significant oscillation at 35 a,and the scope of the oscillation is prominent in summer and autumn. Therefore, obvious changes in seasonal characteristics of Hebei Province have a great impact on K.The results can provide a reliable theoretical basis for agricultural water-saving and planting structure adjustment in Hebei Province.…”
