Nanoscale Pore Structure Characterization and Permeability of Mudrocks and Fine-Grained Sandstones in Coal Reservoirs by Scanning Electron Microscopy, Mercury Intrusion Porosimetry...
Published 2018-01-01“…FIB-SEM image analyses showed that the mineral matrix pores including interparticle (interP) and intraparticle (intraP) pores with varied morphologies are the dominant pore types of the investigated rock samples while very few organic matter (OM) pores were observed. Results of the MIP and the full water-saturated NMR measurements showed that the PSD curves of the mudrock samples mostly present a unimodal pattern and nanopores with pore diameter less than 0.1 μm are their predominant pore type, while the PSD curves of the fine-grained sandstone samples are featured by a bimodal distribution. …”

Contract Management and Health Service Delivery in Uganda: A Case Study of Kabale Regional Referral Hospital, Kabale Municipality.
Published 2023“…In a bid to reduce the rising cost of public administration and to remove any discrepancies or overlaps between hospitals and LGs, the study recommended that the Ministry of Health fully administratively decentralizes contract supervision activities to trusted administrators as a matter of policy. It was concluded that there is a positive significant relationship between contract supervision and the delivery of healthcare services at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital in Kabale Municipality, rejecting null hypothesis one, which held that there is no significant relationship between contract supervision and the delivery of healthcare services in Kabale Municipality, there was a positive significant relationship between contract planning and the provision of health services in Kabale Municipality, and there was a positive significant relationship between contract risk management and health service delivery in Kabale Municipality. …”

Biogeochemical evidence raises questions on the longevity of warming‐induced growth enhancements in wet boreal forests
Published 2024-12-01“…Prompted by studies demonstrating that warming‐enhanced N cycling supports greater productivity and soil C stocks in warmer forests along a wet boreal forest transect, we tested the hypothesis that enhanced organic matter cycling supports greater P demand in relatively warm forests. …”

Macroproperties vs. microstates in the classical simulation of critical phenomena in quench dynamics of 1D Ising models
Published 2025-01-01“…Our results provide illustrations of scenarios where accurate calculation of the full many-body state (microstate) is intractable due to the volume-law growth of entanglement, yet a precise specification of an exact microstate may not be required when simulating macroproperties that play a role in phases of matter of many-body systems. We also study the tractability of simulation using truncated MPS based on quantum chaos and equilibration in the models. …”
