Autoinflammatory Reaction in Dogs Treated for Cancer via G6PD Inhibition by Jonathan W. Nyce

    Published 2017-01-01
“…The autoinflammatory reaction observed closely resembles mevalonate kinase deficiency (MKD), a rare autosomal recessive disease in humans characterized by recurrent febrile attacks, arthralgia, skin rash, and aphthous ulcers of mucocutaneous tissues. In a manner comparable to animal models of MKD, the reconstitution of protein geranylgeranylation blocked the autoinflammatory reaction caused by systemic G6PD inhibition. …”

Effects of Pyrrhotite on the Combustion Behavior and the Kinetic Mechanism of Pyrite-Pyrrhotite Mixture Powders in the Air by Changshun Tian, Yunzhang Rao, Gang Su, Tao Huang

    Published 2023-01-01
“…The calculated kinetic parameters and phase analysis results suggested that pyrite combustion is consistent with the shrinking core mechanism, and in the combustion process, the irregular pyrite particle shrank into a spherical particle; the combustion products of pyrrhotite grew in a layer-by-layer manner. Pyrrhotite combustion corresponded to the three-dimensional diffusion mechanism, and mixed mineral combustion was dominated by the shrinking core mechanism and supplemented by the three-dimensional diffusion mechanism. …”

IL-33 Acts to Express Schaffer Collateral/CA1 LTP and Regulate Learning and Memory by Targeting MyD88 by Tomoyuki Nishizaki

    Published 2017-01-01
“…Taken together, these results show that IL-33 acts to express Schaffer collateral/CA1 LTP relevant to spatial learning and memory in a MyD88-dependent manner and that the LTP might be expressed through an IL-1R1/IL-1RAcP-MyD88 pathway in the absence of ST2.…”

Reputation Detection for Information Diffusion in Social Network Systems by Yifeng Zhou, Fang Yu

    Published 2022-01-01
“…., Twitter), the characteristic of the unidirectional relationship between agents and the decay property of diffusion will result in lacking direct interactions; therefore, interaction reputations will be difficult to be obtained by agents in a distributed manner. To solve this problem, a novel distributed reputation detection model following the pattern “from path to individual” (FPTI) is proposed, which can provide a new reputation factor as an alternative to interaction reputation in such environments. …”

Function approximation method based on weights gradient descent in reinforcement learning by Xiaoyan QIN, Yuhan LIU, Yunlong XU, Bin LI

    Published 2023-08-01
“…Function approximation has gained significant attention in reinforcement learning research as it effectively addresses problems with large-scale, continuous state, and action space.Although the function approximation algorithm based on gradient descent method is one of the most widely used methods in reinforcement learning, it requires careful tuning of the step size parameter as an inappropriate value can lead to slow convergence, unstable convergence, or even divergence. To address these issues, an improvement was made around the temporal-difference (TD) algorithm based on function approximation. The weight update method was enhanced using both the least squares method and gradient descent, resulting in the proposed weights gradient descent (WGD) method. The least squares were used to calculate the weights, combining the ideas of TD and gradient descent to find the error between the weights. And this error was used to directly update the weights.By this method, the weights were updated in a new manner, effectively reducing the consumption of computing resources by the algorithm enhancing other gradient descent-based function approximation algorithms. The WGD method is widely applicable in various gradient descent-based reinforcement learning algorithms. The results show that WGD method can adjust parameters within a wider space, effectively reducing the possibility of algorithm divergence.Additionally, it achieves better performance while improving the convergence speed of the algorithm.…”
