A Precoding Algorithm Based on Max-SNR in Massive MIMO System by Yuhua Wu

    Published 2015-10-01
“…In order to obtain higher data transmission speed and greater array gain,a precoding algorithm based on max-SNR in massive MIMO system was proposed. The basic method of this algorithm was following.Firstly, the base station obtained MMSE channel estimation by received uplink pilot sequences, then the base station transmited downlink data to users after precoding.Terminal users derived the optimal precoding matrix by resolving a Rayleigh entropy optimization problem based on the received SNR.Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed algorithm is better than SVD algorithm, especially when the number of transmit antennas is large, the proposed algorithm is valuable in massive MIMO systems in the future.…”

Differential detection scheme for distributed MIMO systems in fast fading channel by Dong-dong DOU, Jun-bo LIU, Da-ming WANG, Zhao-xun LI

    Published 2012-06-01
“…In the fast fading distributed MIMO system,it is difficult to keep the channel fading coefficient unchanged in adjacent space-time blocks due to the rapid changed state information, which leads to the traditional distributed MIMO differential detection scheme is not suitable any.Aiming at this matter,an improved differential detection scheme was proposed.By recombining space-time codes which were differential modulated by phase, this differential detection scheme reduced the influence from fast fading channels at the cost of larger processing delay and additional transmission power.Theoretical analysis and some computer simulation results show that this scheme can improve the BER performance remarkably in fast fading channels compared with the existing the conventional differential space time detection.…”

Metrics and Methods for Evaluation of Over-The-Air Performance of MIMO User Equipment by Yifei Feng, Werner L. Schroeder, Christoph von Gagern, Adam Tankielun, Thomas Kaiser

    Published 2012-01-01
“…Commercial User Equipment (UE) testing and certification has become more complex for state-of-the-art mobile communication standards such as 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Long-Term Evolution (LTE) due to the extensive use of Multiple Input-Multiple Output (MIMO) transmission techniques. The variety of different MIMO operating modes and the almost unlimited choice of possible multipath channel conditions under which UE performance may be evaluated are not accounted for by established Single Input-Single Output (SISO) Over-The-Air (OTA) performance metrics like Total Isotropic Sensitivity (TIS) and Total Radiated Power (TRP). …”

Robust angle estimation method for noncircular targets in MIMO radar with mutual coupling by Xianpeng WANG, Yuehao GUO, Mengxing HUANG, Chong SHEN, Chunjie CAO, Wenlong FENG

    Published 2019-07-01
“…A robust angle estimation method for noncircular targets based on unitary tensor decomposition with mutual coupling in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar was proposed.Firstly, utilizing the banded symmetric Toeplitz structure of the mutual coupling matrix to eliminate the influence of unknown mutual coupling in tensor field. Then a special augmented tensor was constructed to capture the no circularity and its inherent tensor multidimensional structure of noncircular signals. And taking advantage of the centro-Hermitian characteristic of the augmented tensor to transform the sub-tensor into real-values tensor by the unitary transformation. Finally, the signal subspace estimation based on tensor was obtained by taking advantage of the higher-order singular value decomposition (HOSVD) technology, and then the direction-of-departure (DoD) and direction-of-arrival (DoA) estimation was obtained by utilizing the real-values subspace technology.Due to the consideration of both the noncircularity and multidimensional structure, the proposed algorithm has better recognition performance than the existing angle estimation methods. At the same time, the proposed algorithm only requires real-valued operations and has lower computational complexity.Simulation experiments verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed algorithm.…”
