Spatial channel modeling for MIMO underwater wireless optical links by Xiaoqian LIU, Xinke TANG, Yuhan DONG

    Published 2023-05-01
“…Underwater wireless optical communication (UWOC) has been widely used in the construction of underwater communication network for the advantages of high data rates, small latency, high flexibility and scalability. However, due to the absorption and scattering effects of seawater, the spatial characteristics of UWOC links have not been studied extensively, especially in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) scenario.A linear array MIMO UWOC link geometry was considered and a weighted exponential function polynomial (WEFP) model was proposed to characterize the photon irradiance distribution at the receiving plane of general MIMO UWOC links with arbitrary numbers of light sources.Numerical results suggest that the proposed WEFP model fits well with the results of Monte Carlo simulations in turbid water environment.…”

Dynamic Range Consideration in MIMO Systems with Hybrid Antenna Selection by Javad Ahmadi-Shokouh

    Published 2011-01-01
“…A Hybrid Antenna Selection (HAS), also called Soft Antenna Selection (SAS), method is basically implemented by a Linear Network (LN) located in RF domain of Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems. In this paper, we evaluate the SAS-MIMO system, which is optimally tuned based on spatial multiplexing/diversity transmissions, in terms of receiver dynamic range issue. …”

Uncoordinated multiuser/MIMO channel estimation using superimposed training by Chun-quan HE, Gao-qi DOU, Jun GAO, Gao-ming HUANG

    Published 2014-07-01
“…An iterative channel estimation and detection scheme is proposed for single carrier uncoordinated multi-user/multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system using superimposed training (ST). At first, the multiple antennas mutual interferences are eliminated by utilizing training sequences with all-zero cross-correlation property, which are designed based on transform domain approach. …”
