Buffer-aided multiple-antenna relay strategy for 5G systems
Published 2017-06-01“…Buffer-aided multiple-antenna relay technology can provide the 5G communication system with wide coverage,and improve the system throughput performance effectively.A three-node multiple-antenna buffer-aided relay system was investigated and thus an optimal buffer-aided relay strategy,namely joint adaptive link selection and power allocation protocol,which maximizes the average throughput of system was proposed.The analytical results indicate that the optimal link selection policy depends only on the current instantaneous channel state information and the statistical channel information of related links,and the optimal power allocation scheme has equal power allocation for the transmitted data flows.The simulation results show that buffer used in relay could significantly improve the throughput of relay system compared to the relay system without buffer.In addition,the MIMO technique can achieve the multiplexing gain by multiple antennas,and then improve the throughput of buffer-aided relay system further.…”

Physical-layer security transmission method based on spatial modulation with finite alphabet inputs
Published 2015-02-01“…Addressing the problem of wireless physical layer security transmission for finite alphabet input systems,a spatial modulation secure transmission method is proposed.On the basis of information theory,the method utilizes the receive antenna indices of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system to bear information,and randomizes the eavesdropper’s equivalent channel by switching the receive antennas,which can guarantee physical layer security transmission.First,the different receiving performances of the legitimate user and eavesdropper are analyzed in the spatial modulation secure transmission system.Second,the mutual information and secrecy mutual information of the transmission system are calculated,and two sufficient conditions that ensure positive secrecy mutual information are pointed out.Finally,an estimation algorithm of mutual information is provided.Moreover,the symmetry of finite alphabet set is exploited to decrease the computational complexity.Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation results verify the availability of the security transmission method.…”

Application of cayley differential unitary space-time code in multiple-input multiple-output power line communication
Published 2019-08-01“…The application of Cayley differential unitary space-time code in MIMO power line communication system was studied.The linear space of complex skew-Hermitian matrices was mapped to isotropic unitary matrix constellations represented by highly non-linear Stiefel manifolds,by which signals were transmitted through a block fading multiple input multiple output power line channel with in a differential mode.Finally,based on the unconstrained solution of the Cauchy random by which data streams were represented,the approximate linear maximum likelihood estimation of the transmitted signal was induced.Simulation results show that although the performance of the proposed scheme is slightly lower than that of the system based on orthogonal differential space-time code in terms of bit error rate and diversity gain,it can ensure high-speed and reliable communication at higher signal-to-noise ratios,and is suitable for multi-input multi-output power line communication systems requiring high-speed data transmission.…”

Joint user activity and signal detection for massive multiple-input multiple-output
Published 2021-05-01“…In uplink grant-free massive multiple-input multiple-output (mMIMO) systems, the performance of available methods for joint user activity and signal detection deteriorates when the correlation of receiving antennas or the number of active devices increases.Moreover, the available methods require the knowledge of noise power, which is often practically unknown.To address the above issues, combining approximate message passing with unitary transformation and expectation maximization algorithm to jointly implement user activity and signal detection was proposed.Different from the conventional approximate message passing algorithm, the proposed one assumes that the noise power was unknown.Firstly, by exploiting the approximate message passing algorithm with unitary transform, the distribution of transmitted symbols together with the distribution of noise power was obtained.Secondly, expectation maximization algorithm was applied to estimate the user activity.Finally, the signal detection was implemented by deriving the posterior distribution of the decoupled signal belongs.Simulation results show that the proposed method is better than the traditional method in joint user activity and signal detection.…”

Perfect space-time block codes and high performance decoding algorithm
Published 2007-01-01“…Based on the structure of perfect space-time block codes(STBC),an equivalent vertical Bell Laboratories layered space-time(V-BLAST) decoding model was given.Minimum mean-square error decision feedback equalizer(MMSE-DFE) was used to preprocess this model and a decoder with boundary controlled Fano tree search algorithm was proposed.This decoder achieves almost maximum likelihood(ML) decoding performance and applies for any antenna configurations.For a wide range of signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),the decoder has lower computational complexity than that of previously proposed near-ML decoders.Operating in complex number field,the decoder is robust for any constellations.The decoder can apply for any multi-input multi-output(MIMO) systems that can be transformed into an equivalent V-BLAST model.Simulation results demonstrate the excellent performance of the proposed decoder.…”

3D channel modeling and space-time correlation analysis for V2V communications
Published 2019-06-01“…To match complex wireless propagation scenarios,an improved 3D geometry-based stochastic model was proposed for vehicle to vehicle (V2V) communications channel.The exact relationship between the azimuth angle and elevation angle was taken into account and the corresponding space–time correlation function and space–Doppler power spectral density were derived,and the influence of important factors was analyzed.The observations and conclusions show that correlation characteristics is closely related to distribution of the scatterers and the angle of the antenna array under the non-isotropic scattering environment and is affected by the elevation angle of the antenna array under the isotropic scattering environment.And the space-time correlation characteristics in high vehicular traffic density is significantly lower than that in low vehicular traffic density.The corresponding simulation model is also derived by using a reasonable parameter calculation method.The simulation results validate the rationality of proposed model.It greatly improves analysis and simulation efficiency of V2V MIMO system.…”
