Effects of various manufacturing parameters and test temperature and crosshead displacement rate on the peel resistance of UHMWPE composites
Published 2025-03-01“…Peel tests were initially conducted on different sample widths to establish the critical fracture energy of the material, which was found to plateau at approximately 2000 J/m². Thin UHMWPE laminates were then manufactured under varying processing conditions, with pressures ranging from 20 to 35 MPa and temperatures between 120 and 135°C, to evaluate their influence on peel resistance. …”

Study on scour simulation and boundary condition conversion technology for a shallow foundation bridge
Published 2025-02-01“…To prevent and mitigate scouring risks, this paper investigates the riverbed scouring characteristics of shallow foundation bridges under different hydrological conditions. The study found that under high water levels and flow velocities, scour depth significantly increased.Under extreme hydrological conditions, a horseshoe vortex forms at the base of the front end of the bridge pier, causing scour pits on both sides of the upstream face of the foundation, which is the main cause of foundation voids that first appear at 2580 s with a maximum scour depth of -2.51 m and a void area of 0.5%, continuing to increase over time.Based on simulated scouring data, this study proposes a method for converting boundary conditions from a scouring model to a mechanical model. …”

Preparation of a Novel ACS/CS/EDTA Composite from Sugarcane Bagasse for Enhanced Adsorption of Carbon Dioxide
Published 2024-12-01“…The micropore volume, mesopore volume, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) surface area and average pore width of the ACS are 0.112 cm3/g, 0.193 cm3/g, 354.8 m2/g and 55.7 Å, respectively. The dispersion of EDTA and CS on the activated carbon leads to a deterioration of the structural properties while it increases the aggregation of the ACS/CS/EDTA composite. …”
