ALMA Observations of Massive Clouds in the Central Molecular Zone: External-pressure-confined Dense Cores and Salpeter-like Core Mass Functions
Published 2025-01-01“…With our new temperature estimates we also find that the CMFs show a Salpeter-like slope in the high-mass (≳3–6 M _⊙ ) end, a change from previous works. Combined with the possible top-heavy initial mass functions (IMFs) in the CMZ, our result suggests that gas accretion and further fragmentation may play important roles in transforming the CMF to the IMF.…”

αAsarone alleviates neuronal injury by facilitating autophagy via miR-499-5p/PDCD4/ATG5 signaling pathway in ischemia stroke
Published 2025-01-01“…However, its mechanism of action remains poorly understood.MethodsThe effects of αAsarone on autophagy were examined by WB, RT-qPCR, immunofluorescence colocalization, transmission electron microscope, and autophagic flux activity was measured by infecting HT22 cells with mRFP-GFP-LC3 adenovirus. And then, cells were transfected with both mimic-miR-499-5p and inhibit-miR-499-5p to investigate the role of miR-499-5p in regulating the effects of αAsarone on stroke. …”

Clinical value of soluble urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor in predicting sepsis-associated acute kidney injury
Published 2024-12-01“…The plasma suPAR had the highest area under the ROC curve of 0.700 (95% confidence interval (CI), 0.621–0.779) at 24-h post-sepsis diagnosis, at which the best discrimination ability for S-AKI was achieved with suPAR of ≥6.31 ng/mL (sensitivity 61.9% and specificity 71.6%). Logistic regression analysis showed that suPAR at 24-h post-sepsis diagnosis remained an independent S-AKI risk factor after adjusting for mechanical ventilation, blood urea nitrogen, and pH.Conclusions The findings suggest that plasma suPAR may be a potential biomarker for early S-AKI diagnosis.…”
