Depressive Symptoms and Resilience among Pregnant Adolescents: A Case-Control Study by Danny Salazar-Pousada, Dalton Arroyo, Luis Hidalgo, Faustino R. Pérez-López, Peter Chedraui

    Published 2010-01-01
“…Logistic regression analysis could not establish any risk factor for depressed mood among studied subjects; however, having an adolescent partner (OR, 2.0 CI 95% 1.06–4.0, P=.03) and a preterm delivery (OR, 3.0 CI 95% 1.43–6.55, P=.004) related to a higher risk for lower resilience. Conclusion. In light of the findings of the present study, programs oriented at giving adolescents support before, during, and after pregnancy should be encouraged.…”

Traveling wave solutions of a hybrid KdV-Burgers equation with arbitrary real coefficients in relation with beam-permeated multi-ion plasma fluids by Kuldeep Singh, Steffy Sara Varghese, Ioannis Kourakis

    Published 2025-02-01
“…Contrary to widespread belief (based on a beam-free plasma description), an investigation of nonlinear electrostatic waves in beam-permeated plasmas reveals that the sign(s) of all (any) of the coefficients (a, b or c) may be reversed, independently from each other, depending on the beam velocity (value). In the light of this result, the analytical solutions have been reexamined in an effort to elucidate their applicability in plasma-physical scenarios (e.g., reconnection jets and other planetary plasma environments) in terms of the combined sign(s) of the various coefficients involved in the KdV-B equation. …”
