Study on Temperature and Humidity Characteristics and Stability of Slopes Considering Evaporation Effect under Different Climatic Conditions by ZHANG Hao, SU Zhengyang, WANG Yakun, ZHANG Xuman

    Published 2022-01-01
“…The research is conducted to study the temperature and humidity characteristics and stability laws of slopes under the action of rainfall and evaporation.Taking a mountain clay slope in a reservoir area of northeast China as an example, this study uses the locally measured climate data to build a slope model in VADOSE/W and SLOP/W modules of the software Geo-studio for finite element calculation. The results reveal that the water content of surface soil is greatly affected by evaporation, and under long-term evaporation conditions, the water content of deeper soil gradually decreases. The temperature of surface soil is greatly affected by evaporation, and as the length of evaporation time grows, the soil temperature at the same depth is higher, and the affected soil layer is deeper. The early rainfall infiltration rapidly reduces the safety factor of slope soil while the later evaporation gradually increases it.Under the evaporation effect of long-term dry weather, the safety factor gradually becomes stable, and it increases slowly after the rainfall without considering the evaporation effect. This indicates that evaporation is conducive to improving the safety factor and stability of slopes. The research results provide a reference for research on the temperature and humidity characteristics and stability of similar slopes in the reservoir areas of northeast China.…”

Application of Data Visualization Technology in Water Resources Management Based on Cesium by LE Shihua, DONG Jing, ZHANG Xu, LIU Weilin, TIAN Chunsi, LI Yifan, WU Zhiming, LIU Delong

    Published 2021-01-01
“…Three-dimensional virtual simulation technology is widely used in the fields of digital earth, digital city, digital watershed, etc. It is more conducive for scientific researchers to gain insight into the laws of the scientific data by using the visualization technology in the simulation system. However, the representation of scientific data is more dependent on professional visualization software in practical applications, which leads to its separation from the existing simulation system. In view of this, this paper systematically introduces the related technical principles and the implementation methods of visualization technology, such as heat maps, scalar visualization of water depth, projected texture transformation, meteorological cloud map drawing, water depth contours and isosurface real-time rendering, and effectively integrates a variety of technologies in the Cesium-based 3D simulation platform. The results show that the final display frame rate of each technology is greater than 30 fps so that it can meet the requirements of real-time display, and smooth screen.Based on the technology, the data representation form of the original system is enriched, and a strong basis for large-capacity scientific computing and real-time display is obtained. Therefore,it is expected to be more widely used in virtual reality and scientific visualization.…”
