Blockchain-driven distributed consensus mechanism in defensing Byzantine attack for the Internet of spectrum device
Published 2020-03-01“…To meet the requirement of the precisely spectrum sharing triggered by large-scale and ultra-dense deployment of mobile internet and internet of things,a framework based on blockchain technology for networking the massive personal wireless devices to form the Internet of spectrum device (IoSD) was proposed.The architecture of cloud with edge computing was proposed as the architecture of IoSD,which consists of spectrum management server,mobile base station,and personal wireless devices.The mechanism of spectrum data acquisition,spectrum block appending,spectrum data transmission,and spectrum sensing incentive,consist of basic operational mechanism of IoSD.The distributed consensus mechanism,including fusion consensus among sensing-nodes,verification consensusamong checking-nodes,and confirmation consensus among head-nodes,was applied to determine whether the spectrum data was falsified by the Byzantine attack of malicious sensing-nodesunder the hypothesis test of certain confidence.The simulation results show the effectiveness and robustness of proposed distributed consensus mechanism in preventing spectrum sensing data falsification by the malicious nodes.…”

Federated learning resource management for energy-constrained industrial IoT devices
Published 2022-08-01“…Given the impact of limited wireless resources, a dynamic multi-dimensional resource joint management algorithm was proposed, which intended to tackle the problem of device failure and training interruption caused by the limited battery energy in federated learning network in industrial Internet of things (IIoT).Firstly, the optimization problem was decoupled into battery energy allocation, equipment resource allocation and communication resource allocation sub-problems which were interdependent with the goal of maximizing the fixed-time learning accuracy.Then, the equipment transmission and computing resource allocation problem were solved based on particle swarm optimization algorithm under the given energy budget.Thereafter, the resource block iterative matching algorithm was proposed to optimize the optimal communication resource allocation strategy.Finally, the online energy allocation algorithm was proposed to adjust the energy budget allocation.Simulation results validate the proposed algorithm can improve the model learning accuracy compared with other benchmarks, and can perform better in energy shortage scenarios.…”

Published 2022-06-01“…With the rapid development of the internet of things (IoT), the application of machine type communication (MTC) in life has grown substantially, and the deployment of machine type devices (MTD) has become more and more intensive.In this case, if there is an unexpected situation such as a power outage and a network failure, a large-scale MTD will initiate access to the base station at the same time when the device is powered on.When the device accesses the base station, it needs to complete the downlink synchronization, system message receiving, random access (RA) and other processes.However, the preamble resources that can be allocated by the base station are limited and cannot meet such a huge access demand, which causes network congestion and affects the access probability and access delay of the device.In order to alleviate the access conflict of RA, a dynamic random access occasion (RO) adjustment scheme was proposed based on the uplink and downlink subframes and physical random access channel (PRACH) configuration, and time-based part of the MTD with high delay requirements allocates specific preamble resources.The simulation results show that this scheme can effectively improve the throughput of the system and reduce the access delay of the device.…”
