Energy efficiency optimization algorithm of heterogeneous networks based on hybrid energy supply and energy cooperation by Yang CAO, Ye ZHONG, Chunling PENG, Xiaofeng PENG

    Published 2022-03-01
“…To reduce the base station energy consumption and co-channel interference in heterogeneous cellular networks, a joint optimization algorithm combined with energy harvesting and energy cooperation was proposed with the objective of energy efficiency optimization.First, a mixed-integer nonlinear programming problem for joint resource allocation was constructed considering the constraints of user service quality, the constraints of cellular base station power, and the constraints of renewable energy harvesting.Second, considering that the problem was an NP-hard problem which was difficult to solve directly, the complex original problem was decomposed into three subproblems, such as user association, power allocation, and energy cooperation, with the fixed-variable method, which were solved by using the Lagrangian pairwise method, particle swarm optimization algorithm, and matching theory, respectively. Finally, the final solution of the original problem was obtained by combining the above three algorithms through convergent iterative algorithms. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has improved convergence and system energy efficiency compared with the comparison algorithm.…”

Domain of interests clustering algorithm based on users’ preferred topics by GONG Wei-hua1, YANG Liang-huai1, JIN Rong2, DING Wei-long1

    Published 2011-01-01
“…In order to solve the problem of users’ preferences changing frequently,an iterative computing method was presented to gain the weights of users’ preferences as time goes.A bipartite graph was constructed to show the relations of users’ interests and topic classes. On this base,a novel topic-based clustering(TBC) algorithm was proposed to group the nearest neighbors according to users’ interests, which had changed the usual hard partition method meaning "one or the other" for the clustering items. And the partitioned domains of users’ interests based on multiple topics was also es-tablished by the algorithm, which not only fully profiled users’ interests and the relations of topics indirectly reflected in different domains, but also could adaptively track the changes of users’ interests.Experimental results show that TBC method has better declustering outcome of users’ interests than both the traditional K-Means algorithm and FCM method belonged to the soft clustering, and the TBC algorithm also has higher recommendation quality and better efficiency in personalized recommender services.…”

Terminal battery status information based fairness-aware SWIPT strategy by Zhirui HU

    Published 2020-05-01
“…To solve the battery depletion problem, the terminals’ battery status information (BSI) was proposed to be taken into consideration in simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) strategies, and a SWIPT strategy to guarantee the rate fairness was provided.BSI determined the terminals’ sufferable received rate and harvested energy. The proposed scheme was formulated as an optimization problem to max-min user rate, with rate/energy requirement constraints and the sufferable rate/energy constraints. To solve optimization problem, the receivers were firstly classified with their battery level, then the optimal solutions were obtained by the proposed iteration optimization-based algorithm. With the proposed scheme, the transmit power and the power splitting factor would be controlled and the data rate at receivers, especially the receivers that with lower battery level would be restricted, avoiding the required battery consumption to exceed battery level.Simulation results reveal that the proposed scheme can prolong battery lifetime and avoid the battery depletion problem, and its fairness performance is strengthened with the difference decreasing among the receivers’ battery level.…”

Computation energy efficiency maximization based resource allocation scheme in wireless powered mobile edge computing network by Liqin SHI, Yinghui YE, Guangyue LU

    Published 2020-10-01
“…For wireless powered mobile edge computing (MEC) network,a system computation energy efficiency (CEE) maximization scheme by considering the limited computation capacity at the MEC server side was proposed.Specifically,a CEE maximization optimization problem was formulated by jointly optimizing the computing frequencies and execution time of the MEC server and the edge user(EU),the transmit power and offloading time of each EU,the energy harvesting time and the transmit power of the power beacon.Since the formulated optimization problem was a non-convex fractional optimization problem and hard to solve, the formulated problem was firstly transformed into a non-convex subtraction problem by means of the generalized fractional programming theory and then transform the subtraction problem into an equivalent convex problem by introducing a series of auxiliary variables. On this basis,an iterative algorithm to obtain the optimal solutions was proposed.Simulation results verify the fast convergence of the proposed algorithm and show that the proposed resource allocation scheme can achieve a higher CEE by comparing with other schemes.…”

RANSAC based robust localization algorithm for visual sensor network by Bo ZHANG, Hai-yong LUO, Ji-wei LIU, Fang ZHAO

    Published 2013-08-01
“…Due to node failures or environmental changes, observed data on the target will be error in visual sensor network,so the least squares based multi-vision localization algorithm won’t be accurate.A centralized RANSAC based robust localization method was proposed, which can remove the error data and improve the positioning accuracy.Furthermore,to address this issue, energy imbalance of network nodes in centralized RANSAC where all computing load is executed in one single node,a robust localization algorithm based on distributed RANSAC was also proposed, which can distribute a large number of iterative calculations into each node averagely to ensure the network balance on calculation and energy without affecting the robustness. Finally, through comparing experiments on no-RANSAC,cen-RANSAC and dis-RANSAC,it’s verified that this algorithm can obtain robust and good positioning results in a predetermined probability, and the time complexity was analyzed via experiment.…”

Cognitive waveform design for radar-communication transceiver networks by Yu YAO, Yanjie LI, Lenan WU, Pu MIAO, Xiaoyu TANG

    Published 2021-12-01
“…The system architecture for cognitive radar-communication (CRC) transceiver was proposed.A cognitive waveforms design approach, which is suitable for simultaneously performing both data communication and target detection was presented. This approach aims at estimating target scattering coefficient (TSC) from the radar scene and facilitating high-data-rate communications. In order to minimize the mean square error (MSE) of the TSC, a convex cost function was established. The peak to average power ratio (PAPR)-constrained optimal solution was achieved by applying the Kalman filtering-based strategy to design the set of ultra-wideband (UWB) transmission pulses and embed into them the information data with the M-ary position phase shift keying modulation technique. In addition to theoretical considerations, the simulation results show an improvement in TSC estimation and target detection probability as the number of iterations increases, while still transmitting data rates in the range of several Mbit/s with low bit error rates between CRC transceivers.…”
